In breaking news Steve Turner will remain at Storm after being released by the Titans. No details of settlement available yet.

:clap :clap
Storm have traded 2 juniors & have paid the Titans a cash settlement. So it is fair to say the Titans have done well out of this but from a Storm point of view they have kept Turner which is good news.

:o :o :o

Is that true MB geez what a turn up, Carney was a revelation last year.

Wonder what his reasons are.............................. does he still wish to be in Newcastle close to his buddies the Johns boys????????????????

Cant be good advertisement for the Titans .

Mb Is he going home to UK ... what have ya heard or read.

Agreed great result for the Stormers. Thats one back up the NRL with a candle on it.

They genuinely cant handle the Storm being a power i am sure bout that, so power to the Sytormers and every success but not at my Doggies expense ;)

Craig, going back to England.Think he would have preferred to stay at Newcastle or go back to superleague.

Shame for Titans geez Chris Walker a dead cert for a contract at Gold Coast now, without Turner and Carney tho the best 17 aint as impressive on paper as it coulda been tho they still have Webster and now Rogers.

Chris Walker will get contract,Titans now equal favourites for wooden spoon. They don't appear to have enough depth.Storm play Titans in 3 week which should have plenty of spice.Willy Mason has signed on to be a regular on NRL Footy Show.

I love the NRL footy show and look forward to it every week, however i am pissed they gave Sterlo the Bullet if that is factual.

Sterlo is the brains and a gun amongst analysts and commentators.

BRING BACK SNORKY !!!!

Mason has been signed at the request of the boys from Belmore oval so as to keep Willie outta the discos. :-\

Craig,Playing at Coffs Harbour on the 17/2,with the Turner dramas should be a great game.Like you I can't wait for kickoff ina few weeks.

Beautiful thanx for that MB , ive got days off so i might skip up there and have a look i think. Will be great. As long as it doesnt clash with a tigers praccy game.

Good news for Melb Storm with Billy Slater extending his contract by 3 years locking him up until end of the 2010 season.Billy still only 23 has his best years ahead of him.

Geez the class power and pace of the Storm back half is exciting.

I like em, the new entertainers of the NRL, their style of play is refreshing.

Go Doggs.

Doggies & Storm will be a greta matchup Craig. If they play each other twice I'II tip 1 win each.

Heard a rumlor a week or two back with the signing of Sonny Bill Williams to a big long term contract that the Bulldogs are a huge chance of losing O Meley at seasons end as he is out of contract with confirmation yesterday that he has rejected Dogs first offer.

Williams is a star and a great player but Williams for mine has cost the dogs alot of good players along with the re signing of Mason so far namely Price, Anasta, and just last year Myles and Asotasi. Just how many more players are the dogs gonna lose when held to ransom by just a small few for the big bucks.

Seems Canterbury has always been the place where guys make their names and then POQ elswhere for the big bucks. Looks like not much has changed over the years.

Disappointed to hear O'Meley basically his next contract is all about money.

Tragic news for Trent Salkeld, who has been diagnosed with the same debilitating progressive kidney disease that ended the career of the great Jonah Lomu. The boy showed plenty for Newcastle and i hope all goes well for him. At this time i am unaware in regard as to whether he will play this season, although more will come to light soon.

Read the article, think he has been ruled out for most of the season already.
