or a credit to those players for doing what it takes to make it because they grasp their chance like there is no tomorrow.

Great point, that's how hard they all should work, we need to feed some of that to Tambling and Meyer!

And there was actually 5 rookies out there, I forgot Gus, it's quite amazing actually, I wonder if it's some type of record?
dont forget tivvers. ::)
armstrong cox fletcher graham b jones lynch nicoski priddis and c jones have all played senior footy this yr i think. thats a lazy 9.

That's a bit controversial isn't it. Are you suggesting we have some decent young players. That tigerland is capable of producing/developing some decent footballers. That TW and GM might actually be telling the truth when they say we have a great group of youngsters. A couple of darksiders will be chomping at the bit to chop you down to size. Just you wait...

guys like foley have always had great work ethic and didnt need a kick up the bum to get themselves to this level, its a credit to him

when the club can turn around the likes of meyer/schulz then i might take some notice

not holding my breath though

My general observation from the win over the Maggots was that we are better than a bottom side.

A number of circumstances unfolded in season 2007 to put us on the bottom, but in the bigger picture we aren't a bottom side. It also tells me that there's not much between the bottom end & the top end of the ladder.
Methinks, we're probably still a "middle-of-the-rung" team.

In 2008, if we play to our abilities, & circumstances turn in our favour, we could possibly finished 9th again. Whether we do, or decide to seek another rebuilding year, is neither here nor there to me.

The positive is that a number of our juniors are now taking pivotal roles at the club, and if the development can continue, and if we continue to recruit to give greater depth to positions that we are thin on then, in the long term, we should be ok.

We can still afford one more win for the season. Let's pick our target & make it a beauty.

I hope the club don't think like this phanto as we'll be forever stuck in the bottom few. We are Cr@p and have been for a long time.
