So, where to begin?

We all have seen Greg running around in the black and yellow, and we having certainly put our heads in our hands after a poor kick after he has done all the hard yards.
He has certainly copped his flak on this site justified or not and there are many who would love to see him
de-listed.
At first I was reluctant to take his Presidents position but after meeting him at a Christmas function I really changed my opinion of him. Greg is easy going bloke who had plenty of time for anyone who approched him. He is very humble about his football and knows what he needs to do to improve his game.

I'm not here to defend Greg anytime he plays a below average game.
What I will do is highlight all the good things that he is doing on and off the field.

He knows that he will need to stand up and be a leader for our young and upcoming cubs.
Greg had a consistent 2006 with a 6th in the B&F and is looking good so far in 07.

I wish Greg all the best for 2007 and beyond.

Good for you B and Y. He has been amongst our best players in the first two rounds, and I love his raking left foot kicks. Keep on supporting him with your comments, which is better than caning him, which some are apt to do.

You make one of the biggest jobs on PRE seem pretty easy b&y, Tivva has started on the front foot, an above average year, & the stockman haven't cracked their whips for the moment.

Tivva would be running 2nd in the B&F at the moment.

Rip it up Tivva!

You know what is interesting?

In 2006 Tivendale was among our top 2 disposers of the ball :clap Stats like that are hard to argue with, his consistency has improved by so much.

I rate him as our best midfielder at this point in time. Contested possessions are always great, top 2 tacklers at our club last year, he's better than or equal to Tuck in every area. Foley could surpass him soon but their effectiveness contrasts so much - Tiv is our top 2 best disposers - Foley worst in AFL. So at this point in time Tiv is probably our best midfielder.......... so how many games have we won this year? :hihi

Good onya matt. As Tivs's VP I'd like to add my congrats to him for his wonderful start to the year. If every player puts in as much effort we'll win far more games than we lose.

Unfortunately Greg is somewhat of a whipping boy on PRE, along with Krak and Gas, and some people weren't even able to acknowledge his consistant season in 2006 resulting in his high B&F ranking.

There's nothing better to watch than Tivva's deadly left foot delivering long and direct into the forward line. He had 100% efficiency with his disposals against Sydney.

Keep up the good work Greg cos success is headed our way. :hearton

And kicked a couple of goals.

I have a lot of time for Tivva.

But.......he is the worst beautiful kick of all time. When he streams into goal and turns onto that left foot the only question in my mind is: "Will he miss to the right or to the left?"

That is why he is a maligned player. He has been unable to turn his good games into games where he kicks 3 or 4 goals, it is usually 1 goal 3 points. Saturday was an excellent example of this. He could have put us two goals up midway through the 1st quarter. That might just have stopped the Sydney run in the last minutes of the first quarter that eventually won them the game.

He is not on his own here but he is a repeat offender. Otherwise, he is a solid citizen.

The Sunday Herald Sun listed Tiva as one of our best kicks in a story yesterday comparing all the best kicks club to club. (Lids was the other tiger they listed). So it cant all be doom and gloom for him!

Problem is everyone concentrates on his bad kicks. He is definitely inconsistent but far too much emphasis is placed on the 2 or 3 bad kicks he has in a game. I would have to say when on-song he is one of the best long to position kicks in the game. In my opinion he gets into trouble when he tries those short bullet passes which inherently have a very low percentage success. Get that completely out of his game and you have an excellent player in most facets of the game.

tivva has played well so far this year.

now after i swallowed my pride and got that out, here is one thing that annoys me about him... i dunno if any of you have noticed, but when tivva stuffs up, the opposition always seem to score a goal. he missed a sitter on saturday in the first quarter, and the swans took it away for a coast to coast goal. this happened 3 times in the dreaded hawhorn loss last year.

Only criticism I will make of Tivva is that he is doing well for a half and then disappearing and doesn't he have a few mates. He needs to extend his good play by another quarter. 3 quarters of good play at the pace AFL is played nowadays will suit me fine, let his mates do some work in the other quarter. Needs to show further improvement to be a first tier player regardless of how he is doing by comparison to the rest of the RFC players. Well done but got to keep it up and try to take it further this year, sad to say but players like Tivva and PBowden have to work very hard this year to allow the kids time to literally grow into the roles they are being given.
