I guess some are, just as some are never satisfied.
Yep,Some think because we took him before Franklin,He should be outperforming Franklin.Hence people only see negatives.

When? When it was all over? Sheesh our supporters are easily satisfied

So you're suggesting when its all over players should just pack up their bags, have a shower and go home? To me a lot of the character of a player is shown in how they respond when the chips are down. I have been a detractor of Tambling from late last year but last weekend he was far from the worst and did show alot more character than maybe 17 or 18 other players after half time. Definitely barring injury deserved to keep his spot ahead of others in my view of course.

Just need to replace King with Polo & Edwards with Thomson & the side is starting to look not so runt like

White Moore Rance
Newman McGuane Polo
Tambling Tuck Thomson
Hislop Richardson Riewoldt
Brown Schulz Morton
Simmonds Deledio Foley
Graham Jackson Nahas Bowden

Add Coughlan Cotchin to the mix & the body shape is looking better.
one constant that people overlook footskills coming out of the backline and midfield. butcher it coming out or butcher it going in and you invariably get scored against.
white moore mcguane and polo are not good kicks just to appease all people i will say they are ordinary kicks prone to poor execution and thought process. tuck and thomson in the midfield just makes this problem worse. if they dont turn it over coming out invariably the midfield will going in.

clearly our best side would be

newman thursfield moore
tambling rance deledio
cotchin thomson foley
post riewoldt white/nahas
nahas/connors richardon morton
simmonds tuck cousins
browne/graham/vickery. collins polo schulz

to me this is the way we should be structuring up. only one questionable kick coming out that being rance he brings some other qualities not the least genuine size and run.
a big bodied inside player in the guts who also has questionable foot skills in thomson but theres an obvious trade of, being inside he will primarily be distributing by hand. his hardness and team orientation one percenters makes up for this. its something badly lacking within the team. it seems he wins his fair share of ball as well.

once again the side has height and flexability with its talls if we want to go bigger down back we can or smaller. if rance doesnt cope with the big boys schulz is on the bench to cover if someone gets hurt schulz can cover.
the forward line is the same three talls all mobile all good overhead if we wish to go short drop one to the bench and play collins or polo.we have a genuine tagger in polo as well and we have a kid who just has to be given games and developed in the ones in collins. it really is time.the club owes it to itself to find out if this kid can cut it at this level dont bring him in with 5 minute game time and just one game give him a decent go.

small forwards nahas connors and white. with morton theres only a spot for one. whites kicking would normally have me picking the other 2 but connors is injured and i just wonder if white can maintain the standard of last week. with white and nahas forward perhaps we will get that badly needed forward pressure thats been so lacking this is unfair to expect just 2 players to create this pressure its up to all forwards to do this as a unit.its almost become moreimportant for forwards to defend well than kick goals and if your not as a forward kicking goals you had damn well better defend well.

onballers pick themselves there's no one else really. if tuck has another week like last week where his skills were abysmal i would drop him regardless of weight of posesions. if he cant kick he had damn well better learn to work within his limitations.perhaps give hislop a go in the position.
simmonds well perhaps we can play two babies if he cannot find some form imo his best is well and truly past him.
cousins well i think at 30 hes shown in one game that hes probably the best player we have at the club but injured.

okay interchange have already spoken about polo schulz and collins. ruckmen graham vickery and browne. all reports say vickery is not ready so its down to browne or graham. personally i would not have dropped browne. as stated before if simmonds continues the way hes been perhaps we can rotate both boys of the bench in 10 minute spurts. really would like to see putt and vickery step up a bit this yr.

okay injured players from that team.
connors cousins and cotchin.
so my team for this week would look like this.we know it didnt happen.
Newman Thursfield Moore
Tambling Rance Deledio
Collins Thomson Brown
Post Riewoldt White
Nahas Richardson Morton
Simmonds Tuck Foley
Browne Polo Schulz Hislop
