PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

I'm working off my notes from Saturday's game which features observations such as "What drugs are the umpires on?", "Umpires are on the take", and "Umpires are tossers", HOWEVER, I digress so on to my report.

If Polak keeps up his work rate, he is going to prove that the decision to take him was money well spent. Frankly, I'm impressed with the man! He fills a couple of the gaps/chasms that desperately needed filling and I suspect with a good ruck set up (come on down Simmo) and Browny back on the field that Polak will really hit his straps.

I didn't see the Carlton game so can't comment on his performance, but I watched the Syderney (attempt at Demetrioufication) game and he worked hard. Some good efforts to get to the play, has a good work rate, not scared to be physical, and took some lovely marks, one of which wasn't paid when it should have been and would have been had he been wearing a red and white geurnsey. (Did anyone notice that the mark taken by a Sydney player [cant remember who] a couple of minutes after the Polak non-mark was almost exactly the same scenario and it was paid? I cannot include my observations of that particular incident because this is a family site.)

I'm looking forward to seeing the Scum game and hope that Polak plays a central role in CHOPPING THEM UP. I would like to get to more live games but Canberra is held to ransom for cheap weekend fares - the duopoly (Qantas and Virgin - DeathStar doesn't fly in and out of Das Kapital) knows we're busting to get out of town for the weekend and boy do they make us pay for it, but we are going to get to a few games in Melbourne this year, so hopefully my Presidential notes will be more expansive.
