Official PRE President thread -Mark Coughlan

This week is a big game so we need ball winners like Coughlan and Tuck to lead the way. When you have these guys in an under getting first hands on the ball you always have a chance. Play him to swap with Tuck, if he is fit and if he can have a big game at VFL level well then we can bring him into the big stuff.

But if he needs another week let it be, like some people have said, bringing Coggy back will lift the team so much, he has been my favorite player for years, we lack a guy in the middle that can win the ball and find the best target with his hands so often.

If he is still another week away, look out Melbourne! :D

The reemergence of Cogs will lift our senior players (since the new brigade hasnt played with him). Lift the seniors and the juniors will follow.

Given the lack minimal changes to the squad, Terry must be privately pleased with last week's mediocre performance despite the vocalised disappointment during the week. :spin

Well Terry we ain't falling for it.

Forget Melbourne round 4, this game shapes as huge week in the coaching career of Terry Wallace.

Just a little ray of hope for some of us that, although it's certainly not 100%, Cogs is expected to come in next week assuming he pulls up ok this week.

Whats he going to do?
Another aging footballer in a team of football aging hasbeens!
Time to play fresh meat!!!

Terry made it clear today that Coughlan is at least 2 more weeks away?

While others steal oxygen!

That's interesting cracker. Where did he say that. Seems to be a change of plan so I hope it doesn't mean Mark pulled up sore.

Coughlan, behind Richo, has shown more heart than anybody in this club over the last decade.

I would drop anyone bar Richo (and maybe Foley) for Cogs to come back into this team.

This bloke has character and leadership.... therefore unlikely to play next week.

Thanks cracker, that's disappointing...watch this space to see if he plays 2 more at Coburg before coming in I guess.

I hope all those who've supported Cogs, and admire his attitude and G&D, are at the Dump to support him this week in his long awaited comeback.  I reckon the boy will be playing. I can feel it in me bones. ;)

I've also heard a whisper from someone involved in footy circles, who knows that I'm Mark's self-appointed #1 fan, that it might be worthwhile checking out TFS tonight. ;)

It's been a long road. Can't really expect much first time out.

You're right Tooey, I think many expect him to rack up 35 stats in his first game back. I just hope he can finish the game and pull up OK.

Cogs is an in and under man so he should have no drama racking up some stats.

As Tucky has struggled tghis year we need Cogs clean disposals to let Lids and Axl play a more outside role.

Just hope his body does not let him down. Great story of guts and determination and along with Richo has kept me excited in a very bleak season to date.
