I like most of the Tiger faithful have cried myself to sleep at night as we lurched from loss to loss - and now start the season at 0-4,

BUT,

I pick myself up and remind myself (and anyone who cares to listen) that we've been competitive in every game - and that the huge 100+ smashings have not eventuated yet,

therefore I can convince myself that - it's not all doom and gloom - BUT,

If the West Coke Eagles come out and SMASH us as they did last year - and as they did to Carlton last week ........... what then :(

Or - in my wildest fantasy do we rise like Lazarus as we did last year against the hot favourite "Adelaide" and win - albeit in surreal tactical style

We can only dream ;)

because the fangs will really come out at 0-5 and a 100+ point loss :clap

Only from the Darkside mate. Wheras the majority will continue to support the club at Round 6 and beyond because to do anything else would make things worse and completely counter-productive at the moment.

Interesting point Sir. I'd nearly rather lose that win a la the Adelaide game. I love to see our kids use their natural instincts and take the opposition on. They mightn't always be good enough to get away with it now but I think it behoves them better for the future. I don't think it sends a good message to completely shut a game down. If we're gunna do that I'd rather know in advance cos at the moment I'm tossing up between local footy and the G on Saturday and it would make my decision a lot easier.

Truthful Terry said the Adelaide game tactics were a one-off apparently so rest easy Rosy ;) ;D

He also said Browny was 10 days off from comming back and he also said he won't play players unless they are 100% fit, he says a lot of things does our Terry ;D ;)

I loved last years win against Adelaide, It didn't worry me as long as we we're winning.

At desperate times we need desperate measures.

I didn't enjoy the playing style that day but I DID like that we actually stuck to a plan.
Shows it can be done.

would love to see Deledio on Judd, Foley on Kerr. Would be a fantastic learning experience. They could both learn more in that one game than months of training.

Whilst I didn't enjoy the style of game against the Crows last season, I was very impressed that such a young squad could carry out such a well executed plan. Whilst you'd love to see duals such as Lids Vs Judd, I reckon we need to be careful that we don't blow our confidence down the dunny completely. I too would like to see Lids in the guts but perhaps not head to head with Judd. Could be scary. Why not try and at least make them a little bit accountable by seeing if they'll let Lids play his natural game or whether they'll pay him some respect and tighten up on him.

A big call to say the Darksiders don't/won't support the Tigers after Saturday. Expressing opinions about the failings of various players doesn't make me any less of a supporter than anyone else. Constructive criticism never hurt anybody and all anybody wants on this site is for the Tiges to succeed. Sometimes opinions about the best way to achieve success vary.

And if Lazarus gets with 5 goals, he'll have done well I reckon.

Not exactly on the money Freezer ol chum. The last comment from SIR was:

"because the fangs will really come out at 0-5 and a 100+ point loss"

Then read my comment to that. No other statement about what Darksiders would or wouldn't do, but a definate statement about what the majority would still do. maybe you were reading your own mind ;) ;D

No matter :)

To me, this implies Darksiders won't continue to support the Tigers after round 5, if we get beaten by 100+ points. Obviously I've misconstrued the tone of the conversation.

We need to be on top of our game this week...
To show Juddy how good we are gonna be when he comes here :hihi

So everyone has to be on there best behaviour and try really extra hard

Maybe our banner should say

'One more elite midfielder and we can win the flag'
or 'We won't tarnish you reputation'
You know, suggestions and encouragement for the Juddmeister

All is not lost.

I think all will be very suprised come the end of this game - like someone mentioned earlier, we haven't been smashed this year. If we can at least gain some semblence of honesty in the middle, some rejigging on the forward line, we could get somewhere on the scoreboard - Nothing is impossible - some things are improbable, but never give up hope. We are a young side -granted- but with some enthusiasm and a willingness to try something with a fresh attitude, you can never dismiss the possible outcomes in any form of contest - you never know your luck in a big city!

I think our Terry can conjure up a game plan where our lads can hopefully suprise the Weagles- but this aint gonna be the hard part - it's holding them off till the end where the Weagles will finish in a flurry - I think it'll be something very similar to the Sydney game, but hopefully with a win for us.

I just wish we had a bogie-man like we used to have against Matera...

Footy is won and lost above the shoulders.

Go Tigers!!!
