OK, worse case scenario

sheesh we have one win and yes granted a good win at that now those types of wins you can count on one hand in the past 5 yrs.
the thing is a win does not automatically fix list structure or foot skills or put weight on players or gives us grunt or automatically ingrain our players to do one percenters.
sheesh if we win two or three in a row i can see every man and his dog setting themselves up for a big fall. cattle people we dont hve the cattle or the depth. basically two long term injuries nearly everyone else is available.
and no im not having a go at our kids or better performed well rounded or more rounded players.
you know 2006 revisited is the worst possible thing that can happen to this footy club. as a club we are so success starved that we lose sight of the bigger picture after 1 good win.

So what are you saying we should do? Bring on the "lay down Sally" game plan Ratten used so well?

no play all of our kids or as many that is practicable. if we win 8 10 games with these kids so be it more power to the kids. if we finish bottom 4 with the kids well so be it. we need to phase out bowden pettifer tivva hyde richo tuck johnson. we need to play more rounded players than jackson raines howat polo mcguane pattison mcmahon and 3 or 6 others. one lousy win and all of a sudden we dont have list problems it really is laughable at how gullible people are.
we are two drafts minimum away more likely 3. wallace may hbe in a situation where he can compete and he may even fluke a finals appearance but make no mistake we are so far of being a genuine threat it is not funny.

As much as it was a great win, it was still only one win and the problems are still there, as an example, Johnson has played one decent game and I get the feeling most people want to sign him up for 5 years for it, he's been struggling for a fair while now, over here, every time Fremantle beat West Coast whatever the margin, Fremantle are back, the're the real deal and the're gonna put it together and take the competition apart, it always ends up quite laughable and embarrassing, I don't want Richmond to become like Fremantle, Richmond should get the best draft picks whether it's from your positoning on the ladder or trade up for them, no more trading for hacks from other clubs and no more speculating with early picks and when it's time for someone to move on, move them on, don't be sentimental and try and hold on cause you've watch them since they were a kid, time calls for everyone and players who want to ride the gravy train one last time should know this more than anyone and do the right thing and make it easy for everyone involved and fall on their sword.

Reality is however you only have one draft left. From 09 West Sydney and Gold Coast will be picking the eyes out of the draft before anyone gets a bite.

Good point but in reality we (or anyone else) are never going to have the perfect dream rounded team. Guys like McMahon and Patto and 2 or 3 others would probably fit in well in a perfecty rounded team.

This is my concern too.

Its up to Wallace to get their minds on the job and to believe we can beat the dogs.

We have to play on our strengths too and let the dogs worry about us as well and not be too negative or defensive in our tactics. If there is a weakness with the dogs , its their backline. We have to put pressure on their backman, pressure through the midfield and scoreboard pressure.

Use our pace. We have it. !

But i am scared what can happen. Lets see.

Bulldogs in good form and the fact we play the Dump very poorly points to a loss more than likely. But as long we attempt to play the long kicking, direct, fast flowing style that we saw last week that will continue a step in the right direction.

Bullies are in good form, but last week if McVeigh did not go off when he did, I reckon the bombers would have held on. They are not as good as we all think and the Tigers have their chance to win on Sunday.

Agree. They're playing above themselves for sure. The only thing that's gotten them over the line recently is their pace, and if we keep our side young and fresh, we'll be just as quick as them. We've got a better backline, and a better forward line. If we can beat them for pace through the midfield, and hit our targets last week, we'll smash em.

Who's leading the stats for them in this area daisy?

Hill then Harris according to todays age Toot.

They're a good team Welsh, Hudson & a fit Cross, Griffen, Hahn & Murphy make a big difference to there structure.

Leysy knows someone who had a fair lash at them for the flag before the season at 50's :shhh :whistle

accurate and concise as usual talon. lets keep our eye on the ball or in this case what needs to be done.and the above is clearly what has to happen.

A few new blokes are certainly making a difference to their side.
Hill has come from the clouds. A bit quieter last week, hopefully he's gone off the boil.

Geez Claw, you n Talon seem to be getting on nearly as well as Diggler n Laff. I know someone called Hangnail if you want to get a cosy little threeway appreciation society happening.
