Once again Chris Hyde kicked our 1st goal.Havnt got the numbers but how many times has he done this.At a guess id say its at least in the mid-teens.

I dont know about first goals but he has kicked 12 goals already this year, before that he had only kicked 9 in his career.

so we're relying on hydey to put a stop to our slow starts?
Not saying we are relying on him but just his uncanny knack of kicking our first goal for a player who 9 times out of 10 starts on the wing.

He's really added an extra string to his bow this season with his goal kicking ability and those stats indicate as such.
Having a great year and continues to fly under the radar.
I also like Hyde's no nonsense approach, pretty nuggety is Chris.

and keeps getting up after big hits

very gutsy tough no nonsense player, polo and he very similar in their approach. one a runner and one a more in and under type

A player that knows where to run on the field and fully agree, is as tough as nails. Gee, im getting excited over this current bunch of players we have at our club. It is a great feeling.

Speaking to Haritgan awhile back the issue of Hyde was brought up.

Wallace has given him & a few of the boys a license to run down through the wing, back themselves through packs & have a crack at the goals. Build their confidence without repocussions. Also to look at all forwards as an option rather than just Richo.

interesting comparison to polo... i think polo is gonna be a rolls royce. bargain at pick 20.

Spot on, Bundy & Coke. Flood?? what flood? Hyde just takes them on & runs right through it! He & Raines just run straight at the bloke & take them on - I love it!! :clap

POLO WILL BE A GREAT PLAYER BUT CERTAINLY NOT CLASSY ENOUGH TO BE A ROLLS ROYCE. just a thrashing machine

both are super hard at the contests but completely different players

Luv it too.. :hihi

Its something we have been missing. We are builing a bit of arrogance towards the opposition & never be in awe of no-one.

Agree. See Polo as more of on-road 4WD than a Rolls Royce i.e. can go anywhere, multi-functional, takes a beating, gets the job done etc.
