Yep Ive had no interest in footy this week.

I don't know whether its cos the Olympics are on and the Tigers are rooted, but Ive been completely ambivalent to all things AFL the past week.

At this stage it looks like we can cross Saints off the fight for 8th spot.
A Carlton win will probably see Teague safe so thats a good result for the rest of us.

Now back to the NRL and the Olympics......................... :))

The ratings tonight will prove how fked the game under Gilligan has gone.
I would watch footy in front of anything else on tv even when we were shiit.
But now just a score check if i give a toss.
The game is fled

I didn't see much of the game but the Saints had more disposals, more hitouts, more clearances, more contested and uncontested possessions, more inside 50's but still lost the game. Poor disposal efficiency and efficiency inside 50 which gets back to coaching and not doing enough training drills to get their kicking and handball skills performed at a high enough level.
Olympic swimmers train 40+ hours per week, 50 weeks of the year but at AFL level we have Phys Ed guys advising coaches not to make their players do too much kicking in case they get too fatigued and get injured. No wonder kicking skills and goal kicking in particular is still not a high standard across most clubs.
