Flanklin was ok. He overdid it and stuffed up a couple of times.
Put together a few handy bits of work as well, he's got a truckload of talent and will rip holes in games.
Have no doubt that as he grows from a big kid to an experienced hard bodied footballer he will get lots better.

Yep, agree there TM - the guy despite what some might say on here, is a protege' of the next generation. He will get better for sure if he doesnt get ahead of himself.

Is anyone watching the carlton /hawks game.

If this is a sign of things to come this year, fair dinkum the umpiring is going to make me tear my hair out .They've just about outlawed contact all together. Even 'implied contact' is starting to get penalised.

It's encouraging players to stage constantly.Fev already has it down pat.

disgrace.

Agree, the Hodge free kick in the dying minutes for canning into Nick Stevens was a disgrace.

And the siren still doesn't work in Tassie. I cannot believe after the uproar last year the same thing happens again. Tim(id) Lane and Vossy (supringsly good as a special comments) both missed it.

The AFL wants to protect drug cheats, out gamblers, stop contact all together, make you buy a pie for $8.50 and they cannot supply a decent siren.

I fear for our game.
tassies food and drinks are cheaper :clap

The Kittens are missing the Donut tonight :'( :'( :'( :'(

Go Port ! ;D

The result of this match will be "Rain stopped play" :hihi

Fair point TT, what im trying to say is he doesn't have that other arsenal the big contested mark....where as like a Richo who plays that roaming athletic forward...big Richo can take the big grab...If and its a big If;...If Franklin can add that to his game then he will be a pretty dangerous player to curb but what ive seen from him over the last few years he doesn't quite have it just yet....(The big contested mark that is).

All too true. Geez I love my footy and will nearly watch any game on TV that is on. But I'm losing it - the new rule/interpretation is going to kill it - I'm getting to the point I just don't want to watch it at all. I've turned the Cats/Port game off after Ebert was awarded that free just before quarter time.

It's enough to bring a grown man to tears looking at what is happening to our game.

We should send that Youtube link of the AFL ads from the 90's to those f'wits at the AFL to show them what they are doing - or what they have done to our once great game.

BTW - LOL at 'implied contact' - so true.

Has Adolf Demetriou forgotten that he actually played during an era when Aussie Rules was REAL ??

Jeez Nathan Ablett is very ordinary. I remember reading/hearing a few years back when Gary Jnr first burst onto the scene about the "other" Ablett and how much better he was going to be, but he's shown me nothing except that he's a contender for the slowest player in the AFL.

Looks like neither Geelong or Port will win next week due to leg soreness. :hihi

Lethal has nothing to worry about.

5 mins each end.

Go Port!

Ive never seen so much bloody beautiful water on a ground then what those players are going through tonight....sheesh i wish we had that down here....good hard last quarter though in the drenching wet up there.

The AFL score thingy has stopped working, cannot get the radio to work, and it is telling me that it is the 3rd of April... can they get anything right?

I reckon it should be a golden goal rule. First to get a goal wins. I reckon that would be more exciting! And less taxing.

Rodan's on fire.

He finally found a ground thats wetter than the Coburg centre square.
