tis the new rule. a FF just has to stand still and his opponent breathes on him and hey presto he gets a free. The FB argues and if ya don't mind umpire the FF gets an extra 50 metres.

The problem I have with the rule "interpretation" (other than hating it) is that the umpires still make mistakes, Gaspar didn't have two hands on his opposition, yet he still got freed against. Doesn't make sense.
And surely, the umpires can tell the difference between having the hands in (on/resting on) the back and a direct push in the back?

OMG - Brisbane supporters are so arrogant. I had a guy today telling me if the NAB GF is at the Gabba, they'll get 30,000 there. It's like he went to bed on the night of the 2003 GF and has just woken up. He's telling me how good their defence is and how their midfield will be up there with West Coast's this year. I had to bite my tongue to stop me from laughing.
IMO the last 3 teams in the NAB cup will be fighting it out for the bottom 3 spots on the ladder this year and the cats won't be that far behind them. Juts shows you how midleading results are at this stage of the season.

The NAB cup is basically for teams in Victoria to try and win some much needed cash, interstate clubs don't take it too seriously unless they are struggling in the bottom eight or they are the Dockers, they just want a reason to build a trophy cabinet, sorry boys not this year! I can't understand why the Tiges don't have a fair dinkum crack at it, get some confidence into some of the young fella's
Carlton's foot skills look much improved. I reckon Denis is doing a decent job there and they won't be on the bottom too much longer. All credit to him, can't be easy when the club is in such disarray and disharmony all around him.
