Well, we'll see....................play 4th game of the season in Pitt again, a major test that will show where my Boys are at, no doubt.

Was hoping to catch that game this season, but it just falls outside my time there unfortunately.

The Socceroos is a no brainer but I do worry where the next generation of footballers are going to come from when Schwarzer, Bresciano, kewell, Cahill, Kennedy Emerton, and Neill are gone.

Everything in St Louis is boring.

Rams have hired the NY Giants former D-Coordinator, Spagnuolo, (the guy who designed the defense that beat up the Pats in that Superbowl).

He's ditching the Rams traditional finesse approach and promising to play smash mouth football. He's talking the talk too, he's gone through the list and made some heavy cuts, he got rid of the last of the Rams 2000 Superbowl team and got rid of some long term journeymen.

We probably will have a loseing season next year but it's a promising start

The Rams have been awful for a lot of years now there Colonel, they can only improve.

Getting rid of the likes of Holt, Bruce and Pace, could be the start, but they are still a long way off being a serious contender within their Division Id say.........

Having lived there during their Glory Days and having to listen and read the local news on a daily basis, Im quite happy to see them suffer a while longer in the cellar.

As a Reading follower, in the championship, we have a massive game against Burnley tomorrow morning (Melb time), get through that & we have the Blades waiting at Wembley for us for the last promotion spot, GO ROYALS.
Reading went from 'certainties' around Xmas to hoping to fall across the line.

Also like watching Detroit in the MLB.
Don't have an ice hockey team, but it's good to watch... I'm open to suggestions as I have no affiliation with anywhere in North America.
Love my cricket, but I can't get into IPL.... unlike most here, love my test cricket.
Best team name in world sport in Bangor FC in Nth Ireland, so I follow their results, always thinking they should score! Hibs in Scottish PL.

How did that Julia and Kevin thing work out? :)

For those looking for a different sport to follow, the EPL is in the exciting end of year stage, the top of the ladder is boring, but the relegation battles are interesting.

Thats why it would be fantastic if there was a decent second tier competition here......as no way would us Tiger fans be following any other sport if we were battling against Melbourne to stay in the AFL.
Imagine if the last position on the AFL ladder was relegated and the team that finished 2nd last got the number-1 draft pick.

It would keep the competition exciting to the end and stop all the tanking crap as well.

As for the EPL....top of the ladder....no way is it boring.
ManUre just leading....a couple of chokes and its OURS! ;)

Even the middle of the table is interesting as clubs battle to finish in the top 8 to get a place in European competitions and more money.

And of course, relegation where one stuff up or drawn game could cost your club millions of dollars in revenue and losing your best players.
Now THATS a real competition.
No talk of tanking in the EPL! ;)

I feel very sorry for the PREer (can't remember their name) who follows Richmond and Newcastle FC.
My NFL team went 2-14 last year *sigh*

That would be TigerBob.....he's been on the EPL thread this morning after going through 5 pairs of undies in 90 minutes.
The Toon won this morning and are out of the relegation zone now, so he's got a smile on his face and his undies had a good time in the end too.... :hihi

Thank god, I have the pleasure of his company tomorrow night at the Dinner. Good to know he won't be sitting in a dark corner muttering about Newcastle like he was last weekend at the MCG. >:D

Oh and UFC is the only sport to follow outside of AFL. ;)

Yeah sorry about that... Newcastle is my equal passion along with Richmond, stressful times!

Would you believe following Newcastle is more stressful than following Richmond. That's how bad it is.

Good win this morning though, all smiles today ;D

Here's an old thread from the dusty cabinet.

Just wanted to say well done to the Snakebite Scot in Peter Wright for winning the PDC World Darts Championship this year.

This is another 'pub' sport I like during summer.
