this is a sad thread. Too many people just enjoy bagging our own and other players. Ottens played some great games for Richmond, definately suffered some injuries ( true extent unknown) and has left the club. Big deal, the same scenario applies to Nathan Brown for Richmond. The definition of Loyalty in football is found in a cheque book and drafts and coaches, recruiting officers and Presidents.  Instead of bagging players, enjoy cheering for Danny Meyer, part of the Ottens trade, enjoy cheering for Simmo, enjoy cheering for Lids because we came LAST and could take him according to the rules. Enjoy cheering for all the (PRE's favorite) duds who no longer play badly every week, but apparently to some, )PRE's) should be world beaters constantly since debut or every week in,week out. Good luck to Brad Ottens, don't want you back but good luck.

thats football..............its a business.

Speaking of every picture telling a story, what will happen with the Geelong team of the century or whatever it was John Newman was going on about on the footy show?

Wasn't he going to take it away if Geelong lost to Richmond?

If ottens' career comes to an end in the near future and fails to play a 100 games for the cats, does Richmond have an option under father / son rule? How many games did Ottens play for us?

I cant believe this is the same guy that won All Aust. in 2001. The question is:

How far did that rake really penetrate?
What height did he fall from the tree?
Is Steven Kings girlfriend that good looking?
How many Geelong players knocked on his door?
Did he photocopy Danny Frawely's game plan before leaving Richmond?
Did the psycologist at Geelong graduate from an entry form on the back of a Kellogs pack?

:hihi

Otto is the Geelong player profiled in this week's AFL Record.

Asked his proudest moment in football he said his first game for Geelong. Can't help feel that was a bit of a dig. He played well against us that day but I bet he wouldn't remember his most recent game against us with too much pride.

I think MrsO had better get him eating better too. Asked for his fitness tip the reply was have a balanced diet. He looks incredibly unfit. I think it was Rayzor who went for a run from one end to the other and the Big O really struggled to follow. Looked like he was going to collapse.

Rosy....doesn't look to good for that signed jumper you have!!

How the PRE worm has turned re: the Big Donut.

18 months before we got rid of him, it was sacrilege to even raise the suggestion that we should get rid of him.

But I know who the true Anti-Donut proponents have been all along ...and.....guess what ?

WE WERE RIGHT !!! :hihi

How does it go again rosy?? He who laughs last..........

What a contrast between his first game for the baggers, and his latest game against his ex club. Looks like he's missed out on being a part of one sensational club under wallace. The place must be buzzing as opposed to sleepy hollow where it must feel like a morgue. I wish i was a fly on the wall in their rooms after the match. Thompson refused to talk to them
LMAO!!!!!!! :hihi

This would have to be one of my favourite footy snaps of all time (it's not quite up there with Royce Hart's screamer against the handbaggers in the '67 Grand Final or Michael Roach's mark of the year in '79 but it's not far off). The plight of the wretched, pathetic, spineless...

http://www.realfooty.theage.com.au/realfooty/articles/2006/05/27/1148524934298.html

While I'm on the subject, I was giving Ottens the rounds of the kitchen at the game yesterday from the moment Geelong ran out onto the ground. It was the usual stuff - "You're a disgrace Ottens", "You've got a heart the size of a pea", "Go back to South Australia you weak prick", "I hope you die of leprosy" (well, maybe not)... There was a mixed reaction from the Geelong supporters around me early on - some of them told me to shut up (of course I didn't) and some of them just said nothing. Anyway, I was still going at the end of the game, but by then some of the Geelong fans had gone home and most of the ones who were still there were backing me up. Even a couple of the people who'd told me to can it at the start of the game were on the wagon! Late in the last quarter I nearly asked one of them if they could take over from me abusing Ottens for a while because I'd been doing it for over two hours and I was getting tired, but I didn't want to push it.

I love it Jimmy. I just forwarded it on to 2 Geelong supporters here at work - they laughed at me when I walked in to work the Monday after round 1!!!! (good things come to those who wait)

i feel too many posters are being vindictive re. otto. ok he left because he felt he was worth more money than we were offering him, history has shown miller was right in the money otto was offered. i don't belive that otto is as bad as he is playing now, if you recall simmonds last season he wasn't much better than otto is now.
if ottens followed simmonds example of reducing the weights and focusing on the running and agility he may recapture some of his earlier form. but that's geelong's problem now not ours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i dont agree with some of the comments here

an honest appraisal of brad ottens.

he is a selfish, greedy, money hungry, under performing, front running, gutless, soft, pea hearted mercenary prick who has no dignity, loyalty or integrity who couldn't resist the lure of the all mighty dollar. anything less is selling the 'man' short

*smile* HIM

Simmo last year was twice as good as the Otter this year.

Even the media have sprayed the Donut unmercillously.

Between the donut and King geez the cats are throwing a lot of money for no result, and the match committee would have to feel as if they are pissing into the wind with these 2.
