Our Backline is gonna be great!

ffs the ferals must have long necks because i dont think their headfs could be any deeper in the sand.i just love the way ferals will target individual statements to prove a point rather than use the whole theme of a post.99.9% of people on this site have said we need midfielders 99.9% of people have recognised you cant win a game with out talented midfielders onballers but for sure and certain you need some quality all over the park to win a premiership.the criticisms aimed at the club wallace and miller in particular has been that we have taken skinny fast outriders with early picks at the expense of talented kpp and hardnosed midfielders.if you want a talented tall invariably you will have to use an early pick to get them although this is not written in stone.

as for our backline chb hall what an indictement on the club that this good ordinary footballer is still our best option at chb.kellaway and gaspar have some of the worst kicking skills i have ever seen in afl players.schulz halls so called replacement is what i call a mark and go back and take your kick type player hes to slow to play chb is poor when the ball hits the ground and doesnt have a footy brain.you can bet your bottom dollar if he plays on a tredrea or hall he will get towelled up his place is up forward perhaps we might get some value for money out of him there.j bowden better known as *smile* for good reason.has played primarily as a sweeper in the back line and done it well but i reckon at my age if i played sweeper id get my fair share of kicks as well.thursfield shows promise moves well for his size and has good skills needs to put on 14 kgs the expectations ferals have heaped on this kid already bordsers on stupidity.chaffey hhhhhaaaaaarrrrrrggggghhhhh hhhhhhaaaaarrrrrgggggghhh.

Here hear Claw.
The worst backline in the AFL and ladder positions prove the point.
If you ferals are relying on Gaspar and Fellaway again, start booking your
luxurious caravan holidays for Septeber!!!

You know I think I have these darksiders figured. They win whatever happens:

If we lose and the club goes poorly, they say 'I told you so'.

If the club goes well, they enjoy the ride like the rest of us, because they are , after all, Tiger supporters (we presume). :hihi :hihi

First term report

Your essay on Richmond's backline was a good effort but more time should be spent on developing an argument rather than using rhetoric. Grammatically you are improving, nice to see you using two paragraphs rather than one. Also while not as dispuptive in class as some of your partners in crime, (Diggler put down that cat and compass, get off the table , pull up your strides and sit down!!!) you are still prone to stealing the little skinny kids lunch money and sharing it with your big lumbering mates. Fortunately you cant catch the skinny kids who are quick.

Note to parents please bring in estra bandaids for your children's knuckles where appropriate. Bitumen and carpet burns are a worry.

Now to the substance of your essay.

Hall correct
Gasapar arguable point re kicking but missed the point of the essay = point deducted
Kellaway wrong - point deducted
Schulz - wrong - two points deducted.
Bowden - correct re distribution - did not examine his defensive abilities in detail - half point deducted.
Thursfield - correct.
Chaffey correct - but only the deaf and blind boy (practising to be an umpire) believes Chaffey is a foorballer.

Forgetting to mention Hartigan, Newman, Raines - deduct three points. Very surprised your pet topic Mcguan was not part of your essay. Congratulations you are improving - overall your best effort yet

2 and 1/2 out of 10!

great midfields make administrations great (at Tigerland anyway)

and TW is building us a great midfield.

Exactly!  For all those that bemoan the lack of kpp having been recruited over the last season or 2.....READ THE ABOVE!

Tell all of those at Footscray that bemoan the point that they've had one of the best midfields in the AFL over the last decade and are still to reach the top of the mountain.
::)

Those footscray supporters to pressure their administration for letting their big talent walk a couple of years ago - cause they thought they had enough. Ie the year Luke Penny walked away and went to the saints. A friend and myself used to laugh at Footscray all through that year, because they let their big guys walk, and if I remember correctly, they lost a few of their big men that year to knee injuries.

Wasn't Rohde the coach at that time, or was it Wallace's last year?

Then in September... I admire the better teams.
