PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

Are McGuane and Moore the answers to our backline. Maybe it's just my perception, but it seems to me the backline is not the best position for those two. When either are playing at FB, they appear to be at least two steps behind their man, don't seem to mark all that often...not like Lake....and due to being late on the scene don't punch the ball away too often. The Scarletts and Lakes of this game take marks, punch when they have to and what's more can run with ball opening up all sorts of opportunities up forward.

This is not criticism of them per se, they are hard tryers, but wonder if they are being played to fill gaps, and maybe would be better suited up forward?
