Foley, Edwards (Too a certain extent), Pattison, King

Good to see.

Meyer kicked 2 thought he attacked the ball well. Do us a favour terry you *smile* dont drop the kid and ruin his confidence

Newman is getting back confidence and form as well.

As usual we lost because the same players let us down. Kane Johnson's time is nearing. He is a liability. With the ball he just holds up play without the ball he gives away free kicks for scraging because he doesnt have the pace to keep with his opponent.

Schulz dissapointing. Finger better come out or see you later and in comes Hughes and or Riewoldt

Tambling where was he???. I will defend him against critics but he just dosent seem prepared to get his hands dirty. Very dissapointing

Deledio hard at the ball tonight. Not far away from breaking through IMO.

Thursfield looked a bit of the pace which is to be expected, HOWEVER seems to still have his agility and will only get better.

Foley gutsy as ever. Thank god for his improvment or we would be in all sorts.

Ridiculous match up Raines on Welsh. Why drop Mcguane should have played on Welsh. Just ridiculous selections and match ups by a 200+ game coach.

the mcguane decision was a joke yesterday and still is now, fair enough give the kid a break but bring in moore ffs

we were a defender down all night and it prob cost us in the end

Spot on there. I have been loathe to judge Johnson due to his injury but we have a bit of an issue here. Captains rarely get dropped but he does hold up play too often (which reminds me of Campbell in his last year or so) and is making critical mistakes which must be demoralising for younger guys who are supposed to look up to their captain for inspiration.

and some other thoughts........KANE JOHNSON HAS TO GO, TO SLOW, SLOW TO REACT AND DISPOSAL IS WOEFUL!....

He would still be Einstein compared to some of the assclowns in the bar at 3 quarter time. OK! I'm going to bed now!

Don't be silly...Johnno & Tucky are our gun midfielders. :)

GO TIGES!!!

Johnson is terrible. He lets the team down more often than not and NEVER inspires the team....and this is our CAPTAIN! (The worst captain I can remember at Tigerland)

He has gone from an highly skilled attacking back flanker at the Crows to a plodding, tempo football, poor diposal liability with the Tigers.

The transformation is complete, he is now a fully fledged Richmond player and no Crow skill or professionalism is left in his blood.

Lets hope the kids dont follow down his road to mediocrity.

On the positive side, I agree with TF06 Foley is just willing himself to the next level, magnificent effort. Edwards for showing we can recruit on occassion and Patto for trying his guts out. Kingy tried his guts out too.

I agree about Johnson. I was pretty pleased with the team effort last night, but the only times I got really angry was when he turned it over or gave away stupid free kicks. His kicking is terrible. We've gone from one captain who kicks it straight up in the air to one who skids it along the ground.

Agree with most of what you said....and you said it well.

>Meyer kicked 2 thought he attacked the ball well. Do us a favour terry you *smile* dont drop the kid and ruin his confidence

Disagree on Terry. Agree that if your going to give Meyer a go, bring him in. He seems to have trouble finding the ball though.

>As usual we lost because the same players let us down. Kane Johnson's time is nearing. He is a liability. With the ball he just holds up play without the ball he gives away free kicks for scraging because he doesnt have the pace to keep with his opponent.

His disposal is not up to it either. That said, he has been a very good club man.

>Deledio hard at the ball tonight. Not far away from breaking through IMO.

I couldn't agree more. I have been wondering if he has been carrying some niggling injuries? Anyone?

>Ridiculous match up Raines on Welsh. Why drop Mcguane should have played on Welsh. Just ridiculous selections and match ups by a 200+ game coach.

Agreed, not sure why we had him on Welsh. However who else in the team would they play there? I was surpised to see Mcguane dropped. There does seem to be a popular trend amongst coaches to have a small guy down there who can run off the bigger player. If that was the tactic, it didn't work. (Also I think that tatic should only be employed if your pressure coming into the forward line is first rate.)

I thought the whipping boy "Krak" was good aswell - brilliant ball use on several occassions. Good attack on the footy aswell. Shame about the Richo bit - he'd be feeling crap.

Loved Edwards game - sure he made some some mistakes, but he's got some tricks and he goes hard and forward. I hope the let him learn for himself rather than stiffle his attacking style.

Patterson - pleased he was able to show a bit.

Thursty looked very green but showed some signs of his closing speed and defensive spoils to the boundry.

Foley - his consistency is really encouraging.

Raines - Needs to work on his defensive game - it's costing us.

Whats your solution? How do you change the culture of the club?

WIN !

I am very excited of our young hopefulls that when we do win a game it will start a snowball effect and the victories will just keep rolling in. There confidence will sky rocket.

on tambling...i reckon we shouldn't read too much into it this week....i suspect he's still a little anxious about his shoulder and tentative to go in hard....apparently he went off straight away at the beginning of the match...and came back on later.....reckon he got a knock to it and made him think about it all match....will be right soon...no worries

Meyer doesn't get involved anywhere near enough despite his two goals.

Geez I miss Browny..

shane edwards.....like the way this kid plays...at least he has a dip unlike a few of the more senior guys.....which says alot about our more senior players if an 18 year old has more endeavour than them..
