Chris has been a good player for us over the years no doubt.
But does he really have the qualities needed to be our captain?
It is a difficult job to be captain, even in the best team. But with our side being under seige every moment of every game has anyone seen anything that vindicates the club's decision in making him captain?
I haven't.
We not only lack leadership off field but on field.
Not since Tony Free have we had an inspirational leader who plays by example for the rest of the team.
While he hasn't set the world on fire this year either, I always did and still think that the Captaincy should have gone to Deledio to flag a new direction filled with and led by youth.
