Our Coaches [Merged]

Oh well. At least he sounds keen. Good luck on him thinking he can teach Richo where to lead to and where he takes his marks!!
Richo led him a merry dance on several occasions. How many goals did Rawlings manage in his career?

A good recipe when trying to win premierships is to recruit players and staff with succesful histories.

Jade has played under Judge (sacked) Schwab (sacked) Eade (sacked) Rhode (sacked) Laidley (contender for next sacked). He played finals in only two years out of eleven. His best year as a forward was 34 goals and we haven't got any key backs for him to coach. Gas may be past his best but he has forgotten more about playing in the backline than Jade will every know.

David King was an appointment that brought winning culture and experience. TW has played premierships, played under good coaches, coached to preliminary finals it was a good appointment.

Jade's CV reads a bit like Spuds resume of wooden spoons.

Excellent post Jessie.

Good post Bill, I am surprised by the appointment.

Also I would hope that being Richardson's brother in law hasn't swayed the decision but you can't help but think it's the case.

You mean they didn't invite you to sit in on the interview, diggsy?! Geez, what's the world coming to?! You make me laugh mate. :hihi

Did Paul Roos win a flag as a player? I'd say give him a chance seems pretty switched & Dennis Pagan not sure if he played in a premiership?

No, but he was a bona fide superstar of the game wasn't he?

Pagans success at both junior and reserves level was outstanding and justified his step up to coaching ranks, and you'll find he was the only coach who wasn't either a star or premiership player who has coached a flag for some time.

I admit im surprised by Jay,s appointment.I guess we just have to accept the clubs judgement on this one

I suppose if you're building a team, you need to build the coaching staff as well.

Thanks Davo66, nice to know we have our PDC up and running before draft day, and maybe will get a good look-in to QLD players

Very good point!!As well as some of the other Div 2 players as to their strengths and weaknesses.

Re: Mcrae to join the coaching staff at tigerland

Jade Rawlings also has had alot to do with young Riewoldt (TAS)

"He's (Rawlings) helped all of the young blokes out, like Colin (Garland), myself (Riewodlt)and Mitch (Thorp) on how the forward line functions."

Craig MCCrae, new Tiger appointment.

I don't know what happened.
Initially I was posting on a thread about McCrae's new appointment, then it disappeared.

Anyway, there's an anouncement on the Richmondfc website confirming Craig MCcRae's appointment as Player Development Officer at Tigerland.

An excellent appointment.
McCrae has done a great job with the Qld juniors over the last couple of years.

Gee, the joint has changed enormously over the last 2 years.

It was already being discussed on this thread so the threads were merged, as yours has been now too. :)

Congratulations Craig.  Welcome to Tigerland. :clap
