I'm sure this task has been done before by someone here but for whatever reason I wanted to find out who we'd drafted since 1999 and what's happened to them since. It is depressing reading. Of all the players listed 17 have already gone and by this seasons end we could probably add 2 or 3 more. I suppose I was wondering why we can't develop good young talent. Why have most of our draft picks been wasted? Why don't our young picks ever seriously develop into good AFL players?
1999

so the 199 draft picks were a compete waste of long term time with only Cameron being of any benefit albeit only for 3 seasons.
