Elite Performance Manager - Matthew Hornsby

Fair dinkum, this guy is in charge of the physical development of our players, and I don't see any.

We've had players unable to run out games.
We've got players unable to run out quarters.
When fatigue sets in, mental errors are made.

I took along an impartial observer with me last night to watch the game. The first thing he said was, I didn't know Richmond were playing so many of their young players as well. I heard about the baby bombers 2, but I didn't know you guys were doing the same.

I said we have barely any of our kids out there at the moment.

He then asked "So why do all your players look like teenage kids then?"

The strength and conditioning of our players is substandard. I am suspicious that Wallace wants the players kept lean so they can run faster, but that's just a suspicion. Our players are woefully underdeveloped. Hopefully when the review comes down, it finds we need a new "Elite performance" manager, because our players certainly don't perform in the elite catagory.

:clap

Been saying it for years, this bloke is a joke.

He still should be the seventh sacking, behind Wallace and his mates Royal, King, Rawlings, Campbell and Gordon.

You may be onto something with your suspicions General. Spoke to a player a little while back and he was told not to bulk up too much as it would probably affect his speed.

that side of it would be vickery he needs to go as well. or be given different parameters to work with. hmm parameters claws big word of the day.no idea what it means but sounds good. :hihi

Yep, Richmond have done an outstanding job with the fitness and psychology of their players.

Just look at the way they display their body language and go about winning a game.

No doubt about it the fitness coach and the psychology "mental toughness" specialist have done absolute wonders for the current playing group.

Makes me want to throw up it really does.

I don't give a rat's for either the Fitness Coach or the Sports Psychologists professional reputations, from what I've seen they've done nothing to enhance the players who are playing so poorly that the kids in TAC would probably beat them right now.

When the sacking starts, I'd start with the Coach, then I'd work on getting rid of Bond and Hornsby. The entire Football Department should be cleaned out, people who know how to win brought in to get things moving (doesn't matter if they have'nt played AFL but they should be from elite profession's). Winning is what counts, the player development at Richmond is so far behind other clubs its not funny.

BTW Gold Coast have signed up more than 43,000 members, not a bad effort considering they aren't in the competition yet. All that revenue, plus what the AFL is throwing their way, meanwhile down at Punt Road, the player development continues on its merry way down the drain.

PUKE!!!!!

Hilarious given how slow many of our players look.

You FORGOT one person the General Manager of Player Development Jeff Bond, HE HAS TO GOl.

As for the others the coaches yep gone, fitness yep gone, football operations etc some of them will be gone, Recruiting don't know enough about it but again probably gone, so that just leaves the Property Steward and Chaplain behind.

Be interesting to see who Richmond employ to correct the errors of the past that is for sure.

Wallace should go first, nothing but a common thief , who stole a truck load of money from the RFC, and 5 more years of life from the poor old supporters who have been suffering for 28 long years

Then anyone that had anything to do with signing his five year contract, after that, the so called talent scouts, I'm not sure of names, but think it must be the Deaf Dumb and Blind institute of Victoria

after they all go,

everyone who gets paid for any type of service to do with running the club , keep anyone who donates time as they are true Tigers

There is a disease at RFC that has has been rotting away at the very foundations of the club for 28 years, it needs to be cut out once and for all

sack everyone and start again hey peoples

look at the Cats, Hawks, Crows etc hardly any sticks

Dangerfield is a tank already since juniors while it takes 5 years for our players to put on a kg
