Well the end of the Pre-season is nigh upon us and not much is happening on the media front for Richmond this year. This is a good thing.

God knows we've had it up to our eyeballs with our notoriously infamous behaviour during this period in the past but what for the future.

Melbourne Demons are in the paper almost everyday it seems with big pics and stories to boot. There Media capacity has noticably skyrocketed of late. WOW what a difference a good PR machine at a footy club makes.

is Mitho still our Media Liason man?

is there a "BP, The Quiet Achiever" strategy employed by the club?

is Mitho being gagged?

if or WHEN our on field exploits are on the up i'd like to think our PR is too. so i've been wondering lately wheteher our current media people have what it takes to grab this bull by the horns once the boys get up and running?

just some minor points on the brain of late

We'll make headlines later in the week. We'll trounce the baby Magpies, the rags will write about us, and the flower sniffers will be seeing double rainbows.

The media will stamd up & take notice when we beat the new powerhouse of the AFL Carlton in round 1.

Raise ya bat, mb! That's now a half-century of threads you've made this prediction on!

Much quieter this year than previously, not real good. We used to rival Collingwood for space in the HUN, not in the contest this year so far.

Personally quite happy with a quiet pre-season in the media. No need for rash predictions and rubbish.

But for mine the award for most media hot air has to go to the Bombers!

They are really trying to psych everyone out with their big predictions. I hope that no-one else in the AFL will get sucked in. Boring...

Todays paper has the Bombers quoting themselves as "the fittest we've been in 7 years"

I'm thinking the spoon is on the way to Windy Hill myself.

They actually have an ok list. However, their draw is pretty tough - I think they travel five times (Subi twice) - it'll be a big achievement for them to make the 8! Won't stop them talking sh!t though!

Agree Hungry. In previous years someone at the club has come out with some ridiculous statement only to see us end up with egg on our faces. I'll happily take the quiet pre-season period and wait for the PR machine to crank up once we start consistently winning games. When that happens, we'll be telling the journos to *smile* off & we'll call them when we want to talk to them. ;D

i'm happy our preseaon has been quiet, but i'm getting frustrated by the scribes talking down our chances this year.

After we beat Blues they'll be talking us up.

If your "frustrated by the scribes" you must be beside yourself reading the pessimistic crap from many on PRE.
