Not sure the time but you can guarrantee the butchering! It will be a Gold Coast suck up session!

Fair enough there Uncle Buck. Dont really agree but respect your thoughts.
Using the before mention pre-requisites Navy, what do you think of Josh Walker.

IMO he has gone under the radar a bit, moves well leads hard, is a good mark/kick
and looks the perfect size for a key forward.

Not sure where he lies within this draft but he is definately one I would like to see
in the yellow & black next year.

averaged 9.8 disposals and 1.8 goals in 6 games for the PA seniors. Late rookie pick perhaps.

He compares himself to Eddie Betts and the figures stack up pretty well, Milera 170, averages around 10 disposals and 1.8 goals. Betts at 173 around 14 possesions and 1.8 goals.

Seems to have heaps more class than Nahas or Hicks. I would love to see a half decent draft pick used on a real small forward with some Riolli like class. We always seem to scrape the bottom of the barrell with rookie picks to try and find a small forward and it shows.

Great skills on the 'highlights' but geez he's a midget.

God that was a trainwreck

The draft is 18 November up in the Gold Coast so all the top picks can join training the next day with the Suns. And yes the Fox Sports coverage was amazingly worse than when channel seven used to do it years ago - ok it is tough to make good television out of, but they have Dunstall talking away and ignoring the picks. It was easier to follow on-line

They're not doing the top 10 thing this year either - that was terrible last year.

They should just do it in order and have a 1-2 minute pause between picks in the first 2 rounds so they can show highlights and discuss the pick and upcoming picks etc. That'd make a nice neat 1 hour show which is all it needs IMO.

Exactly, something simple like this will do the trick nicely.

Not hard to do a decent draft show.

The thing Fox put on was a disgrace. Just a shambles.

its easy to put together a decent draft telecast. show highlights of the players as they are being selected while shifter talks about them. beats fat head dunstall talking crap and interviewing adam goodes' mum about how she felt 10 years ago. the top 10 countdown was a joke - trying to build the suspense before they announce the no.1 draft pick - um i wonder who it will be? has scully dropped out of the top 10? also it gave melbourne half an hour to decide who to pick at 11 when all other picks had 2 minutes. joke.

Amen - sadly you're not a marketing guru being paid $2,000 a day by the AFL to think up ideas like this

What chance one of the good hff's makes it to 30ish?

Mids: Swallow, Bennell, Gaff, Atley, Heppell, Caddy, Smith, Polec, Wallis, Parker, Hallahan (11)
Rucks: Gorringe, Lycett (2)
Forwards: Day, Darling, Lynch, Cook, Pitt, Harper, Lamb, Prestia (8)
Backs: Jacobs, Smedts, Harvey, McCarthy, Watson (5)

Is only 26 players. Are there others people can see breaking in there and giving us any chance at all of getting Lamb, Harper or even Pitt or is that just wishful thinking? Any out of place in that group and likely to go later?

Could be a few others in there Disco, like Green, Tape, maybe Cripps, I dunno. But I reckon if we really want one of those three you mention the only way will be at 6. We shouldn't shy away from it if that's who we want. Collingwood used pick 2 on Dale Thomas. Can't fault it.
