PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

Just trying to sort out my views on our list management coming into October and came to our Ruck Division / types and realised as this is the first year I have not got to see Coburg games I'm a bit out of touch and I would greatly appreciate the learnered views of fellow PRE'ers.

For mine our "genuine" rucks or prospects are Simmonds, Graham and Cartledge.

I'm not including Pattison and to a lesser degree Putt as I strongly believe Patto is not a ruck and have gained the impression from posts on this forum that Putt is looking to be more a key forward type.

With possibly chasing Warnock (who I am sure will not be at RFC next year wether we want him or not) I find our ruck division the most intriguing division on our list with regards to how our coaching staff / recruiters view it.

What I am particulalry interested in is a comparison between Cartledge and Graham, who do you think has better chances of cutting the grade? Do they both? Do neither?

What types of ruckmen are Cartledge / Graham developing into. Roving, Tap experts, Crash and Bang etc.

Am i right to exclude Patto and Putt, I'm not talking about emergencies or "fill in" around the ground ruckmen, I am taking Key Ruckmen and Back Up Ruckmen in the centre all day types.

Any sharing of knowledge or opinions would be greatly appreciated.
