PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

I was looking at our list to see how solid our team is in terms of depth. I have put our players into six categories. Please don't worry too much if you recon player 'A' should be in a different bracket or not, shifting a player here or there wont make a difference to my point about depth.

What is seems like to me is that we have about 15 pretty solid players in our squad. This leaves 8 more to fill a normal team, not taking into account injuries or team structure.

We fill the remaining 32% of our team with 'C' grade players, who are going to be inconsistent or still learning their skills. Over a third of our team not able to do their job. Not good.

The other thing this shows is that we really need at least 3 or 4 of the Meyer..casserley group to come good. Nine dubious players is quite a few.

Keep in mind I am looking at this from the point of view of what they can probably contribute this year, not later.

Players who are yet to show they have a serious AFL career ahead: (9)

Meyer
Casserley

Players from the recent draft, so can't be reasonably classified: (3)

(Cotchin I have upgraded one category just on hype ;) )

Players who have shown something but are not established: (5)
