I was reading the nominations for the Norwich rising Star award this morning and it struck me that a number of posters on this board may be being a little harsh on some of our younger players (with talk od delistings). For example both Selwoods were nominated this year and they were chosen in the 2002 draft meaning that to still be eligible for the award they have played less than 10 games until this year.

A number of posters have been critcial of our class of 2003 for not playing more games. The experience with teh Selwoods confirms that it is not unusual for players to fail to hit their straps until year 3 (bodies mature etc). I think next year is the crunch year for guys like Jackson, Raines, roacj etc

That's a pretty fair call, Peaka.

Year three is usually considered to be the big one.

Thats true. Thats why the club is willing to give the young players another year to show their worth.

Minimal changes this year which will enable a couple of yougsters like Raines, Roach, Jackson, Harts to make a mark.

So lets see and support them.

It is crazy to talk of trading or delisting teenagers. The only reason to delist them is if they do not have the attitude to play AFL.

There's something strange going on around here!

What happened to the mindless bunk spruiked by those who KNOW that every player (even some 17yo with a wooden leg taken at 846 in the draft) will be a better player than Krak, Tiv, Hilts, Chaff, Pets, Gas, Chubba, Razor, etc.

I'm getting scared, I tells ya!

Too much rational thought ...

Not enough use of the word dud ...

Oww, it hurts, what's happening to me ...

Aaaaargh ... I'm getting out of here!!!
