He was highly rated by the bombers. We know he was highly rated by our recruiting staff.
He had issues that made the situation there untenable.
He has had a restrictive groin injury that he hasn't yet shaken off till recently.
He has not played a game with us since he has shaken of this concern.
He has some mongrel that we lack and is a footballer with footy nous, something we lack.

I saw him in the Pre-Season comp too.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a over critical darksider, but I'm sure others agree, that sometimes you can just 'tell' whether a player will be the goods or not.

I have that feeling about him. I might be wrong, I'm not Nostradamus...

But my opinion is he won't be a long term solution because he lacks skill, class, poise, pace and from what I've seen is a poor decision maker.

Hopefully I'm proven wrong, but I'm standing by this opinion.

hislop is a hard tough nut who knows where to go has very good hands and is very team oriented. yep he may lack a yard and his kicking may lack a little penetration but this is not his role. get his motor up where it needs to be and play him onball you will see a different player.

i dont see him at coburg but he was a very good junior who brings to the table much of what we dont have.
just on fleming is still to this day close to the worst player i have ever seen. hislop uses his aggression smart and well fleming well what a crock of shiit
