Didn't help Hall ToO - he has a strike rate of ~70% for goalkicking...plenty of long shots in that too.

Team needs must be put first mate...Schulz to the backline! ;)

:hihi
Yes RW, Sarge to CHB and Rayzor to FF.
I'm withya all the way mate.
Why didn't I see it before? ;D :rofl :spin

Well Lads, as promised me and Donger had a big day yesterday at the G. The Old Car Removed truck we dumped in nunawading and then caught the train in. We shotgunned down a few UDLs and then hit the G. Donger's new crewcut fooled the nazi on the gate so we strolled straight in.

First we went looking for Scragger - you know, the bulldog mascot though he looks like a big of a mongrel to me. Donger was going to squash the mutt or dognap him or sell him for a couple of bucks down at the flemington market. But we couldnt find him. The Donga  then cracked on to a couple of fat sheilas (and I mean fat) from the footescray cheer squad, and then they all went off to find one of those unisex disabled dunnies. He has yet to resurface. Gees, I hope hes not exerting himself too much. they might all still be in there.

So that left me to cheer on the tiges. Gees it broke my heart when Paddy Bowden kicked 0-3. I used to play the game myself. I reckon hes not following through with his kick. The video is not working so I could not checkl it out later. But I reckon it was a bit of a stunted kick. I reckon the second kick as well was not placed well on the boot. Did anybody else pick this up?

I reckon we wouldve won if Simmo had been on the ground yesterday

Sounds like Donga scored more than most Richmond fowards on the day... I hope he had a rabies shot before the match

I've never been sold on Patrick full stop. Having said that, I'd prefer him in the forward line because he is too soft and unaccountable to play in the backline. As far as I'm concerned he is an ordinary footballer. He'd struggle to get a game in most teams.

we'd be singing pat Bowden's name from the rooftops if he had scored those three goals

I'm inclined to think that he can play but must fix the goal kicking technique

over preseason Pat should

1. read the DaoDeJing by LaoTzu
2. Tie a rope between two goalposts
3. hang a tire from the rope
4. Get a bag of footballs
5. practice kicking them through the tire

No need for the tyre, Richmond already has a Motorola Sign strung up between the posts at Punt RD for him to aim at!!!

When kicking for goal its a lot easier to try and kick at something behind the goals so you kick through the ball more the tyre thing is probably whee he's goin wrong and stabbing at the ball cos he's trying to hit a target rather than send it on a straight flight path!!!!! Was very ugly to watch! But it happens! When ya have RICHO in the side nothing amazes you!

This is where Schulz has it over many of his team mates, he right kicks right through the line.
He also has a very relaxed approach on his lead up to the man on the mark.

Perhaps he could subsidise his income by offering a few "pointers". :spin

*smile* also has a good idea where the man on the mark is, which is a skill he could pass on to a few of his team mates as well.

The best pointer he could give some of them is out the RFC door...... permanently.

My pet hate...running too close to the man on the mark when shooting for goal
