What do people think about this guy, he could fill our need from a tough back pocket player. Was recruited as a 22 year old last year to essendon and played alright in the last couple of games for the bombers but he suprisingly got delisted. He had a season high 18 disposals against us and i think he deserves a chance ove

This guy can really play and is bloody tough I reckon. I don't think the list of delistings in the paper were official.

Yep he's pretty nuggety, but has no height, no speed and no particular skills. Got nothing to offer IMHO.

yeah this kid isnt a bad sort he Won the 2004 Magarey Medal with Central District and at 24 might be worth a chance....id have him over Green but id take Gaspar over both as i reckon we have a real defficiency for tall backs.

yeah id have gaspar in beofre thomas. if thomas is going to be delisted, hasnt yet, then he would add a bit of steel to the team. a mark johnson type player

Paul Thomas is an interesting one.

Started late.

Height 182cm
Weight: 80kg
Recruited From: Central District (SA)/Adelaide Rookies
Date of Birth: 6th May 1982

Won 2004 Magarey Medal, then drafted.
Played 8 games this year, for 81 possies, 19 tackles.
Already 23, will be 24 next year.

Almost, but not quite.
Hartigan already has a much better possession rate, and he's 3 years younger than Thomas. Then we've got Raines & Roach too, so we really don't need Thomas.

But I would like to see Hartigan put on another 5-10kg from his beginning of last season weight. 75kg for 181cm is too light. Should be about 83-85kg for a decent BP player.

Only the most avid Bomber fan would know what this guy plays like. I don't mind giving someone a second chance..its the 3rd (ie Haynes and Haynes and Cupido) and 4th chances that I dont like. Though having said that I do like Brett Johnson delisted from Carlton. I dont know why he hasnt really made it. He's a class act.

Thomas is supposed to be a bit like Mark Johnson in his play and build (although obsvously not as good).
Surprised Brett Johnson delisted I thought he was one that got a lot of the ball only PSD idf anything for both on a 1 year deal.

I can tell you why. He's too weedy and doesn't have any special tricks to compensate(unlike say a  Brent Harvey). The same goes for our  Gilmour (although he is working on his build).

waves to Phantom. ;)
