[he was part of a board that accumulated over 5 mil in debt. he was in charge when his footy dept overspent 800k.we still have debt of 4million.

I thought he only got voted to the board at the end of 2004.

Yes he was in charge of the footy dept when it was overbudget that is true. How much of that 800k was because of bad contracts before his time? I don't think anyone can answer that question.

yes may be a bit harsh about him being on the board. the fact remains he backed a bloke who almost sent the club bankrupt and showed little or no integrity in doing so. blackmail is not a strong enough word when it comes to miller and his role in that election.

. hes either done well or he hasnt theres no middle groundhis results say hes been shocking.

Would you prefer Wallace played Chaffey etc another year, so that we got closer to the 8, and say the results on the field.

He's played younger guys, as you've asked, and we've bottomed out. Big suprise.

I think, given the club couldn't afford to pay transfer fees for players in years gone by, we did ok with getting Tuck and Raines so deep in the draft. Jackson looks like he's starting to come round. Foley has come good. As has Thursfield. He might have done better in 2004, but the players he picked look like at the very least, they'll be OK, if not spectacular.
are we talking about wallace or miller or both. lets assume the the first part of your post wallace and the second part miller.
so lets continue to concentrate on miller. the tuck raines draft. lets see he traded picks 6 and 20 for a 26yo browny.remember we should be in full on rebuild mode. he then used our earliest pick pick 21 on alex gilmore every man and his dog shook his head at this highly speculative pick. he then used pick 37 in a f/s selection on tom roach basically this was a feel good selection. he then used pick 53 on jackson is daniel going to make the grade i have my doubts.he then used pick 64 on morrison anout and out dud. he then used picks 70 73 and 76 on hartigan tuck and raines.with such late picks you are not expecting to get a deledio and i will give him due for the picks he did okay. the only thing is all 3 of these players have chronic deficiencies and i dont expect any of them to last in the long term.to top this national draft of he took fletcher with pick 79 and archibald with 81 i suppose his luck ran out there. to top everything of he took marsh andweller in the psd. the brown trade aside you can argue all night if it was the right thing to do or not miller failed to draft one long term player of quality in 11 attempts. its thios mediocrity and lack of foresight that continually bamboozles me. here he is useing late picks on recycled hacks when he could be giving an untried kid a go or utilising the rookie list. ironically foley was rookie listed this year one of just 3 marc dragacevic was one and moore was retained.its only been this past yr where we have had decent numbers on this list and that was forced on us by the afl.

Sheesh what a shocking year that was in regard to list management.

Explains alot doesnt it. What a woeful exercise that was Brown or no Brown.

Id forgotten until you brought those scars back Clawsey TA :-\

Hopefully Miller has no say whatsoever come draft day.

Word is that he's keen on Morton. Another skinny flanker. Enough said.

I will deadset be in tears if we don't get one of Kreuzer or Cotchin.

It is a win-win situation. We pick up the leftover, and dont have to live with the pressure of selecting the number 1 pick.

Great point. Let the Blues supporters spend the rest of their careers comparing them.
