With the current baby boom in full swing there has never been a better time for Richmond to replace a lost generation of supporters.
Statistics show that in Victoria 70,000 births a year are having an enourmous effect on infrastructure's such as schools, hospitals etc.
As well as the baby boom Victoria is leading the way in terms of migration from overseas.
Richmond's pitiful years since 1982 have cost the club significantly. Supporters have dropped away in their thousands, many have been lost for good.
The significant advantage that Richmond has to replace and grow it's membership/supporter base is it's mascot, colours and Punt Road itself.
The people in charge, Wright, March and co need to determine strategies that can infiltrate schools, child care centres, shopping centres, playgrounds etc, etc to bring attention to Tigers and as a flow on effect, the Richmond Football Club.
While many believe a large part of our supporter base is dormant just waiting for consistant finals, we cannot rest on our laurels, a perfect opportunity exists to really cement 40k+ yearly members and 55k+ avearge attendances which will bring with it enourmous sponsorship.
Significant sums need to be spent in this regard, but in years to come our presence as a true powerhouse will never be questioned.
