i must admit i haven't been a big fan of pets over the years but last nights performance i rate a one of his best team games.

if this is the new pets then he may just convert me .

Petts works really hard to provide an option for the guys coming up the ground & more often than not uses the ball well & puts us in a goal scoring position the cross last night was the pointless attempt at a mark which gave a free kick to the Blues in the forward half but I guess you can't have a crack at someone who goes for his marks!!

People talk about richo and Browny being Batman and robin, what about Petts? I would love to see the stats on "Pettifer to Richo.......... goal!!!"

I think he will have to be commisioner Gordon, or whatever the butlers name was. Or perhaps to his critics he can be batgirl.

Either way, will be around the top of the "goal assists" stats again as he was last year for the AFL (top 5 last year in the worst team in the league).

His critics will call him soft, certainly he is not the hardest man at the club, but anybody who makes that many of his team mates look good ranks highly in my book.

His last quarter was great and the leadership role may make him a better player. Looked to do the team things and dropped back to half back to help out and then pushed forward, once ending up in a one on three up forward after clearing form half back initially great play - I think that he forced a loose ball which resulted in Richmond goal. New leadership members Newman, Foley and Pettifer give the team a new and sharper edge IMO

One thing i noticed with petts last nite, he actually took em on, how many times did he weave through packs and send us forward.

A very good game.

I did notice that he really was roving around the ground a bit. A lead up forward taking a % of the goal square kick outs for example is a bit of a surprise.

Yeah AT and his passing was nice and flat and hard not like his usual hospital passes.
I was pretty impressed with both him and Rainesy last night with their foot skills
