Pick 29- Ade: Dylan Williams (VIC)
185cm/79kg
An athletic forward/midfielder who can hopefully recover from injury concerns.

I love this kid. He's a Pickett alright. Fierce.Another steal.
I was thinking RiccardI for my latter Suns pick 78/90 but I doubt he,ll go this early in the draft.Brisbane Lions
Pick #34 - Jake Riccardi
Height, Weight: 195cm/94kg
This selection made me think a fair bit and usually go best available but really needed to select for needs with this selection for the Lions
With the Pies having the next pick i dont believe he would have still been on the board for Brisbanes next selection.
The lions were let down last year in their foward line having to rely on Hipwood and the 2 games against Richmond i watched made me think if the had a Jonno Brown now they would really do some Damage but Jonno browns dont grow on tree's and takes 4/5 years to develop
But Jake Riccardi has show at VFL level for Werribee this year he has the talent and now the size to play this role for brisbane
Needs based selection and i think he fills this need the best out of the players available to the lions in this market at the moment.
"A hard working key forward, the former Calder Cannons player stepped up at state level. In his first full year at Werribee, Riccardi won the Fothergill-Round-Mitchell Medal as the best young player in the VFL. The past 13 recipients have gone on to be drafted, and with a consistent year, strong hands and a high work rate, Riccardi is a readymade forward option. He was quite raw in his few years at TAC Cup level with Calder, but showed promising glimpses – including in a five-goal performance at his would-be home of Avalon Airport Oval in late-2018 – which he now looks to have returned more consistently and at a higher level. Riccardi’s size and the potential to play different roles inside 50 still makes him a prospect with scope, able to kick a bag and rip the game open with high marks on the lead."

It will indeed. I guess my logic was that no one took him as a free hit in the mid season draft back in May so why would you now take him with a “high” pick in the national draft? But we shall see.It will be interesting to see Tim. I had thought about him picking for the Bombers at #33. They are desperate for a KPF.
pick #38 Richmond - Mitch Georgiades
Subiaco/Western Australia | Tall Forward
28/09/2001 | 192cm | 87kg
Would be extremely happy to select Mitch at this selection but looking more likely he will be gone by Richmonds 2nd selection
Smart athletic key foward thats shown improvment year on year and with Lynch / Jack to learn off he will be in the best club to learn his craft and in 2-3 years take Jacks position.
"his vertical leap (85cm running) and acceleration (2.925 seconds 20m sprint), Georgiades is a headache for any defender. Once the air space is clear and there is a body in front of him, expect the high-flying forward to sit on their head and bring the ball down. "
pick #39 Richmond - Sam Philip
Northern Knights/Vic Metro | Inside Midfielder
04/08/2001 | 186cm | 79kg
Sam Philp has a rare mix of speed and endurance that many inside midfielders aspire toward. His consistent NAB League form throughout the year was not quite enough to see him selected in the stacked Vic Metro squad, but a strong back-end helped him earn a National Combine invite. He shone at the fitness testing event, showcasing his powerful burst of speed with a combine-best 20m sprint time of 2.867 seconds, while also achieving top 10 scores in the yo-yo test and standing vertical jump. On the field, Philp wins his own ball and is most typically seen bustling out of congestion with his trademark speed and strength to generate some forward run. He is just as apt going the other way too, with Philp’s aggression translating to a fearsome tackling game on the rare occasion where he does not win the ball himself. A big improver from his bottom-age season, Philp has continued on the upward trend and could be the kind of player a club will seek to snap up earlier than expected given the upside his unique mix of traits brings.
STRENGTHS:
Inside game
Aggression/tackling
Breakaway speed
Consistency
Athletic base
What i also loved about these 2 selections are that both the boys are bottom age of their peers and have more improvement & growth similar to our Turner/Balta/Bolton selections.Great shouts. I like them both around that position. Georgiades is the same as Cooper Stephens, would be a top 15 pick if the trend line from the 16's continued.
I just couldn't pass up Mitch O'Neil, reminds me of Zach Merrett. I really want him with one of three picks.
