The way we have coughed up the lead in 3 games (actually, more the Carlton & Collingwood games) has been disgraceful. Do we not have the physical fitness or are our players still carrying the mental scars of being a rabble of a club for 25 years? A couple of quick goals from the opposition & we start to sh!t ourselves & cough it up. We stop running & working to make the play. Considering we have been able to get into positions where we should go on & win games, I reckon the psychological side of our game is pathetic.

You know the mental thing really hurts to see.

I mean you have Foley who - shows the way early every game. Tambling did it last night. Schulz did as well.

But its hard to maintain it for the whole match when so many of the other players ( seniors) don't follow that lead.

KB would find it hard to inspire some of the peahearts in the team.

The Peahearted - mentally fragile ones actually drag the ones having a real dip back to their level.

hence the 3rd and 4th quarters. where we have no standout s at all.

I thought it was the hardest pre season they have ever done and they have never been fitter! Or are they that buggered from a hard pre season they cant run out games? ???

Both as well as no ticker and no Leadership AT ALL. God i wish Matty Knights was 21 again

Id have to say this Jonhson just doesn't look like a leader, only my thoughts but id like to hear what people think on Johnsons leadership qualities.

Or tactics?

Bowden is not a defensive player need to realese him *smile* should've taken Rocca Polak on Cloke & Moore on Medhurst allowing Bowden & Deledio to attack!!

There's been issues with last nights tactics, but it's deeper than that. Wallace cannot make players go get the football, or chase their opponent. The tigers have to want to do it. He can punish them, and try instill discipline, but he can't force them in a game situation.

No, for me the issue isn't fitness (Physically). We've got a lot of blokes out there who can run all day. The problem is desire. The problem is leadership. We need someone who can inspire everyone else on the park to lift, and bring home the bacon.

We need a Dermie, an Ablett, a Carey or a Jonathon Brown.

At the moment, when the going gets tough, no one puts their hand up to say I'll win us the game boys, follow me.
The young guys look for direction, but Kane can't deliver it. Neither can Bowden. About the only bloke on our list who can, is Nathan Brown.

Yes, absolutely! They said it on the radio after the game.. what was Terry thinking?

I think they might have been over worked in the pre-season? Or perhaps they didnt train strate for 3 hours so they would be used to a 2 hour game?
