Do you think there will ever likely be another Selwood/Rich scenario especially before the new clubs come in?

Why not? Rich who was once expected to be a top 3 pick fell for a reason.


Credit to the kid that he's looking like a top 3 selection now, but he there were reasons why others were preferred to him.

Good comparision between 2 and 7. Difference between a Cotchin (2) and Palmer (7). Well that is a fair gap most people would say.

I heard on the radio the other day that Rich was carrying some sort of injury at the draft camp and concealed it as he didn't want to ruin his chances of getting picked up...whatever it was it apparently meant he rated quite low in a couple of the physical tests which probably accounted for him slipping a bit lower down the draft order....Maybe Brisbane knew something the other clubs didn't. He certainly looks the absolute standout from last year's draft though...
