Pick 27 Anthony Miles

Yep, stocks have gone through the roof.
Manager was begging Richmond to pick him with a rookie pick
Now he would command a 1st round draft pick.

What's really surprised me isn't so much his ball winning ability but ball use. Not a lot of penetration but a very neat, reliable kick anywhere up to 35-40m. His foot skills on Friday were particularly excellent. Kudos to him for working on it, as I think that was one of his knocks at GWS.

He's 10 times the kick (and bloke) Toby Greene is :hihi

Second year blues?

Snipper says he's never heard of the term!! ;D

Actually in his second year at GWS he had a bad run with injury niggles so he has moved past that second year and that is great for the tigers.

Likely nothing in it but I find it interesting he's been named on the bench this week. Especially after Dimma's comments during the week about the mids getting a 'touch up'.

Yeah. Looks like a little kick in the arse for our young star, Oldsmobile.

Dont think there is much to it, I've seen him named on the bench many times and then start on the ground.

Noted the same thing.......Thomas named on the extended interchange bench also adds to the intrigue (hopeful it's not a case of Miles carrying a niggle and they're waiting to see if he gets up)??

Miles was very sore last week. Took a mountain of punishment during the Hawks game. Maybe he is being managed to freshen him up?

Reckon you might be right!

Not the first time he's been named on the bench this year.

The umpires do give him the odd free for high contact....... But fair dinkum they pay way more against him for holding the ball. Have they heard of prior opportunity? Because Miles never gets its benefit.

Thought he was a bit off today as well. Don't know his stats though - how did he go? Better if he's in a bit of slump now than in a month.

MIles holds onto the ball way too long and gives away too many free kicks in that manner. Out of form or playing injured with a right shoulder strain..

He was subbed off, so he may have been playing under a bit of duress.
