Pick 27 Anthony Miles

2 clearances and barely any contested possession. Definitely injured I think. Being played outside to nurse him through, but keep talent on the ground.

Agree. Starting on the interchange for both games has been a red light and he didn't seem to attend too many of our centre bounces.

I think he is carrying something. Hoping injured players will miraculously be okay if they keep playing is another Richmond trait.

Missed a simple target by hand on Friday. In space. I nearly fell over. The bloke is infallible by foot and a god by hand. It's never psychology; it's always injury/niggles.

*Oh then he has to be rested and only play when he's 100%.*

He has to played injured and learn to play better when he does. Because we're talking about Anthony Miles here we can be very confident that will happen.

If the injury is bad enough to mean he cannot be very effective for the team there's two downsides. 1. Is letting the side down in output, effort, errors most likely and 2. Probably worsening the injury so could prolong recovery or do more damage.

I realise most players keep playing with niggles, but should be over 90% right.

This is counter-productive with Miles and surely Moore could be tried in his place until Miles is closer to his best. Not saying Moore is as good necessarily but hopefully fitter.

We seem to have more injuries and play pathetic after the preseason period. Maybe we should skip preseason next year.

Yer, I'm starting to wonder. Is it to prepare the players or injure them?

Mid-January, we hardly have a problem. Come Round 1 we've lost several key players. What's the point?

Have heard that he is carrying an injury. That at least is the story in his home town. Give him a week off. It is a long season and he is too important

Too many excuses for our players. If miles is injured he shouldn't be playing.
Pendlebury has broken ribs and he played well.
Miles was nonexistent in the games we have played.

Whilst I love Miles he has really struggled to impact the first 2 games as he isn't doing the things that makes him great. If he's carrying something we need to allow him to recover properly and play either Moore or Butler in his place for the timebeing.

Love this bloke. He'll be fine. Definitely seems to be carrying something though - if he is, we should rest him for a week. With the way he plays and it being only early in a long season, we need to make sure we don't drive him into the ground.
