Was named BOG for VFL with 30 touches.

Back in next week for sure.

*smile* general if he keeps that up in the VFL we won't see him back in the seniors until at least mid year!

Just wondering if that was the rationale for the omission. Not getting much of it at senior level, give him a week in the twos to get some touch and confidence back.

The other theory I heard (I don't give a whole lot of credence to, but it's been said) that the short break and trip west wouldn't be good for the injury\niggle he is carrying. So they thought get him some touch at VFL and a better chance to recover from the injury.

Lade mentioned on SEN pre-game that Hampson taps it too far away for him whereas Ivan is a "nullifier" and drops the ball in close which suits his game. That's right, accordingly to Lade, The Hammer wins the tap too often for one of our key onballers to play.

Seriously, only at Richmond.
So why wouldn't a player position himself differently. Drrrr

R u taking the urine there Elmer?
This is coaching and lack of ability. None of it rests on miles shoulders. Miles cannot be asked to be an outside mid. But getting dropped will hopefully prove to us all that he is our gun in and under mid roving to maric. I dont reckon ablett would perform as well roving to hampson. This is not a *smile* take. Why would our ruck hit the ball to where our players aren't? Not that we got too many taps last night anyway.

Well they confirmed it. It had looked that way to me. They had a choice to drop Hammer or Miles and they dropped Miles, Hmmmm?

I dont know how, yes he had it a heap , BUT got caught at least 3 times & looked very very slow, I reckon he must be playing hurt

Batchelor & George are the ins for me, maybe Beany

Ha ha ha. We're a *smile* joke. Drop Miles cos hamza hits it too far away.

Are these *smile* serious?

Can't believe I renewed my family's membership last week. Until Hardwick's gone, I'm done.

If he's injured, rest him for ****'s sake. If he's passably fit, he plays in the AFL.

When the big names failed against Nth in last year's final, Miles kept us in the game. Not the only one out of form & shouldn't have been dropped.

Hampson does get hit outs into open areas far too often, but that's the ruck coaches issue, not the midfielders.

What is the truth about Miles? Was he dropped for not performing? Is he injured? If he is injured then why did he play in VFL at the weekend?
Has he reached the pinnacle of his career and now plateaued or just dropped off thanks to our strange coaching ideas?

He is definately carrying an injury...
Given he is injured i think it is fair to say that this the main reason for his drop in form , one would have thought that maybe resting him
would have been a better option than playing him in the vfl.

He turns 24 this year so hopefully 5+ years of service , lets try to avoid running him into the ground..

The ancient Greeks invented drama….the supporters of the RFC love to bathe in it. Injuries and plane travel do not mix well…...

Big test for Miles this week when he inevitably gets the recall. I'm sure it's not a great feeling for him being dropped from a side that's not playing well.
His stint in the VFL suggests that his coach hasn't been at all happy with his performances as opposed to any injury or you'd think he'd have been rested.
Whatever the case is, we need him to rebound very quickly from his form slump.
This guy is our engine, has been a top 5 player and a very big part of our successes over the past couple of seasons.
We need him playing good footy, not going backwards. Hopefully it starts with the Demons..
