Cyril wasn't good as a midfielder.
He was ok at taking a grab. All Rioli's work was done in the forward 50. Bolton is good in the middle and exceptional as a forward.
He is the 2nd best small forward ive seen, behind Castgna

If you could trade through time and space,

No way would I trade Cyril for $hai.

I wouldn't trade $hai for anyone, ever

I've mentioned it before ... I don't believe Bolton will be playing for any team but Richmond.
Richmond is the football club that can, does and will provide him with everything he requires as a professional footballer.
He knows this, Carr knows this, RFC knows this.
The Club will find the way to satisfy his contract needs.
One of the absolute future stars of the competition and Richmond won't let him slide to another club.
He will stay and all parties will be most satisfied.

If it was just down to choice of clubs, and centered around being "satisfied", obviously Richmond would be the stand out.
But Shai's strong lure back to WA is all about family, which means he may well make a decision to play for a less satisfying club.

every year we have the same panic about players leaving, usually starting in June. Have we had any real gun players leave in this era? Butts? Nope. Higgins? who cares. Oleg? promising but really, we are covered there.

Ellis had his flaws but elite in some aspects. Bu our wing stocks are OK too.

I won't worry about Shai leaving until he actually does so, if he does. I don't think he will anyway.

Hard to get your head around the fact Shai is only 22, has played only 57 games, already has 2 Premierships & has just this seaason exploded as a player..

Watching Shai play bring s back a lot of memories. He is a traditional, goal-kicking rover in the finest tradtion of Kevin Bartlett.

How privileged are we? Each week, we get to watch the second coming of both Leigh Matthews and Kevin Bartlett.
