Pick 29: Shai Bolton

If they want to go, let them go, they should stick around and help the club rebuild, but if that's not their priority, bring on the picks.
No suggestion he wants to go.
All reports he loves Tigerland.
Long may it continue

Lowered expectations after the concussion.
It takes time to recover and adjust.
A normal football would be enough.
Rip it up next week

He is judged too harshly. Has been 1 out as the star all year and other clubs know it. Just wish they play him as a full time mid. Tarranto Hopper Prestia Baker with Bolts hard to stop

He was great in the middle. Didn't hit the scoreboard as usual but had some good acceleration from stoppage.

That ball just wouldn't sit up to the left of screen.
Damn Sherrin.

Yeah that bounce was frustrating. It was a really good and smart kick out in front by McAuliffe but just wouldn't sit for Shai to run in for the easiest of goals.

Geez I wish his set shot goal kicking matched his undoubtedly high level of natural ability. Just misses so many goals he should kick. He's a star but it is a major flaw in his game.

He's a match winner. Won't bring it all the time but when he's on song it's always a net positive result for the Tigers. He's flamboyant and with that also brings a certain amount of frustration. Just what he is and we have to live with that.

I guess the disappointing thing about all this Shai to Freo thing, is that it was initiated by Boltons camp, they were the ones asking whether there was a chance of the move happening. Basically meaning Shai wouldn’t mind getting out.

Plenty of twists and turns to come. Trade is too juicy for all parties for the whispers to go away.

In the end it might be a “family homecoming” angle for Shai, which is good optics.

For Richmond it’ll be “facilitating” Shai going home despite current denials. Also good optics.

Freo gets to be the one who scores a marquee player.

Winners all round. Just seems like the right time.

Of course Richmond would need adequate compensation and that’s the question mark.

Where did you get that from?

*smile* off Fremantle.
Just look at keeping your players before going after kids from other clubs.

I love watching the guy. In any given moment, he can do something that no other player on the field would be capable of - it’s great having someone like that on your team.

That being said, generally I don’t think his level of play since getting paid is close enough to where it was at before he signed his big contract.

He could just be having a down year in a bad team. It’s a tough situation for an X-factor type player. But I reckon things like this are worth keeping an eye on, especially if the rumours keep popping up. No use having him here on big money if he’s not bought into what it takes to rebuild.

Wasn’t it all started by Eddie Maguire’s boy Alexandrina? Tray in g to follow on in daddy’s footsteps in the media.
He started in off in the usual manner “ I’m led to believe” then “ there has been some talk” or “word getting around” or “my sources tell me”
He’s learning from the “best in the business” Tom Brown-Smith-Morris or whatever his name is.. *smile* wits

Great game from Bolts considering he still looked like he was still suffering from the effect of concussion.
Anyone who has had concussion will know it takes time to shake it off and in an elite sportsman, it seems to take more to shake off especially when you are in a high stakes and hard game like footy. Shai will be more comfortable next week and will be a great foil for Dusty in the 300th.
