Pick 29: Shai Bolton

Fantastic player in a good team, like icing on a cake. But being a small forward in a poor team is a very different matter

Can we trade him to Freo, for two first round picks? But we need to keep Bakes!!
No way.
Stop with love affair on Baker because he is a Trier.
He showed today that he has really poor disposal. Turned the game with a basic 20 metre kick.
Missed 2 basic set shots.
Bolton is the one you keep

You trade both to Freo / WC and loot the sands of the west for all their treasures.

Playing the Indy theme as we roll away from the trade table

So what did your love child do today? And then you say Bakes "turned the game" Shirley you cant be serious?

Package with Baker and grab Harley Reid and a first round pick. Would regenerate the list in a year

Love him but if the deal is right than yeah.
I don't think you can build a team around him.

Like Dundas Brodders & Gale.

West Coast won't trade him out, he needs to say the words so the WC supporters don't lynch Simpson and Co.

*for what it's worth he won't select us

Spent a lot of time sookin and flappin at the maggots and his team mates yesterday, head simply not in the game at all.

Unfortunately the most overrated player in the league. Burned teammates in better positions with a simple handpass to try and do it himself and butcher it.

We do need to keep him, but he so needs to get his head right. It’s not an ability issue.

Deal of a lifetime sitting on his manager’s table.

Copped a heavy concussion, team can’t string two coherent possessions together, weather is grey and oppressive.

Meanwhile the Fremantle Doctor breezes through the windmills of his mind

4-5 picks in the top 20 (including our own) if we play our cards right this off-season.

Naturally this will trigger immediate calls for caps on first round picks for a single club

whilst also setting up our next flag run
It’s a cool story, Carts, but how high are these draft picks and where are Freo going to get them from? There’s also the matter of an existing contract which Freo would want to use to leverage any deal done involving the player.

Freo have 10, 13 and 15 currently I think.

We could say that one has to be a top 5 pick. They trade 10 and 13 to West Coast for their top 5 pick.

3 and 15 for Bolton, West Coast give 10 for Baker.

2, 3, 10, 15.

Certainly has been doing that.Show pony stuff catches up with you eventually. Not to mention how disruptive it can be to the team on and off the field.

The lack of regard for Bolton on this site stinks.
He has spent much of his time playing deepest forward, without the aid of talls able to get the ball down to him at the ground, where he mostly excels.
One armed Ryan and now Kosy not able to get that job done.

(Chol on the other hand has progressed well passed these two).

Change must come. Both Blight and Gray continued to impress yesterday in the VFL, and unsurprisingly at the G, Balta again had to be moved forward.

Can see a point coming when Balta, Gray and a fitter version of Lynch will play forward, with Balta relieving in the ruck. Bauer, Blight and of course Miller, will be playing back and Bolton (and Taranto) will continue to work wherever, and be much more effective.
