Pick 29: Shai Bolton

year of the tiger said:
He is only 19

I wonder if the Channel 7 chopper chills him in his sleep.
I wonder if he asks himself "What's this rash that comes and goes".

Interesting on the contract front.

Im not great on contract guessing, but If he had signed at 1/4 time of the VFL GF,

I'd guess he'd have got $1.2m for 3?

now he'd be looking at $550 for 2 wouldnt he? :don't know

bit worried he is going to get towelled up and be sent straight back to the magoos.

GWS have a lot of pretty strong mature bodied defenders.

Shai's best chance is if the forward line is crowded. One out he gets beaten pretty easily with his immature frame.

Not if he’s standing on their heads evo! Kid will take a screamer tonight. His marking is one thing he brings that Butler doesn’t have.

Part of me wants to see him fly for marks and kick goal of the year, but all he needs do is be at Riewoldt and Moore's feet, just like the Swans game last year.

I hope he plays party footy, even for a quarter.

I think thats why he's in. Like for like.

Butler plays party footy.

Yep TM. He will need to know when to fly and when to stay down. Don’t want to see Jack, Moore, Shai and George all flying at once.

he's definitely an excitement machine. Would hate to lose him.
