Pick 29: Shai Bolton

I think what both Shai and Corey highlight is that the difference in intensity and gut-running required at AFL is far greater than that at VFL level. Both really stand out in this regard. Not 'Richmond' players at this stage imo.

Yep just because we have a good vfl team doesn’t mean we have good depth. Most of the players brought in to cover injuries etc this year have been shown to be off the pace of afl.

We have been very lucky with injuries until now so we haven’t had to call on too many of them.

I’d give him a few more weeks.
Has more speed than Stengle

I'd give a few more weeks and off load him straight back to Perth. GWS used his opponent a 100 times last night, no pressure and very very lackadaisical

Must have been watching another game as he was chasing and closing space all night.

Watched his game closely. While he did apply good pressure at times he was not consistent. His shot at goal was very poor at a crucial time. Give him another week but would want to see improved pressure next week

He had two shockers in the last quarter at crucial times, the jump at nothing on the wing which allowed Haynes? To mark, and the putrid shot at goal!

Needs more time to develop in the 2's but I don't think he's got the patience.

Will probably be asking to go home to WA.

There was always this question mark on him.

Id like him to stay but if he wants out and he could be of help allowing us to grab Cerra as well as Lynch then id let him go.

If we got Cerra's left nut in a deal with Bolton we should dance all the way down punt rd.
Bolton and Martin might seal the deal.
Bolton on his own would be lucky to get you Byron Schammer in return
