PIP requried

OK, so when you have under performers in my place of employment they go on a structured Personal Improvement Plan. This sets out their defficeiencies and gives them structured ways to address them. The PIP also has a defined period in which these performance deficiecies needs to be turn around in. It also defines what will happen to the employee if they fail to reach their specified required skill targets.
What are the benefits:
For the payer: Know what's expected of them - I really don't think Terry conveys this well enough to individuals when the first arrive or when they are dropped.
They know they are on their last chance.
They know exactly what they have to do to have a carrer with the RFC.
They know exactly what will happen if they fail to address their deficiencies.
For the Club: All of the above.
The club now has the upper hand as players who join RFC know that if the performances are poor they go on a PIP and if they are on a PIP they could be on the slippery slope out of the club.
It should stop players being rewarded for poor peformances.
It sets a baseline standard - which should be set high as we are talking about elite footballers here.
If a player is to be let go, it won't come as a surprise to them and they would have had a clear oppertunity to "save themselves" olice:
It just seems to me that there is no rhyme or reason to the selection of the team each week and the selection of the list (draft, who to keep, who shall go etc.).
For example: Cotchin played only a few games with Coburg (none outstanding) and yet is put straight into the Seniors, where as others seem to languish n the burgs and never get a consistant chance at senior level. You never know their just might be a great senior player on our list that hasn't been given a decent chance.
Clearly last weeks selection was to "lock in" a win against an understregth Adelaide, but at what cost? The message the reserves are getting is there is no reward for hard work as selection to the senior side is not based on merit but on a whim and a hunch.
Wallace talks the talk, but when team selection comes up it seems to be carried out in an irrational and adhoc manner which the results clearly reflect.
It's time to put it on the line for all underperforming Tigers!

I don't think any or much of that is our actual problem. Matty White for example has apparently had it spelled out to him exactly what they want him to do and what he needs to do to address his deficiencies.

Wallace has stated that selections will be based on performance and to be quite honest that is what has happened (apart from some apparently favoured players), it appears to our detriment, Bowden Pettifer et al didn't do what was required and were dropped. Their replacements did well and Bowden and Pettifer went back to Coburg and from all reports worked on their deficiencies. When the performance of Morton, Polak and Reiwoldt dropped off slightly they were dropped. Same with Tiv, he starred for Coburg and thus was selected again where he again showed he's not up to it. It looks like Wallace actually needs to select based on how he thinks they will go at AFL level, not purely on form at VFL level. Now that the side has started losing again with the oldies in it perhaps they need to be dropped again and the total focus needs to be on youth.
