Play King on the ball!@!

He's mature but not confident enough with the pace of the game yet for mid-field role. Maybe a quick coupla minutes - the occasional stoppage manned up perhaps, but he's had only a handful of games - expecting him to rotate with Foley is just fanciful this season. Could see it happening with another full pre-season of learning and condition though :fing32

Fine with that. Not expecting him in a full time role just yet.
Would like to see him get a taste though.

Turn him into Libba Wallace. :hihi

Giving him a go would add another string to Terry's midfield, but it won't be long before the ferals would be screaming to get him out of the middle because of his lack of skill.

As much as I'd like to run with you on this one GPB (remember the doomsayers after his first game??? - only a handful of us thought he had a good future) I'll agree with DirtyLiverpool on this one. He's mature (King - not Livers :hihi) but not confident enough with the pace of the game yet for mid-field role. Seems there is also hope for you too Pharace... :hihi

Mate, less of the hope and hope less ;D

If King played in the middle and did well, which resulted in opposition close marking taggers trying to get under his skin, King would end up before the tribunal 5 or 6 times a year

king should not and will not play on the ball hes a very reliable runner from the backline maybe in a few years when hes an established player but right now hes definatly to stay in the backline

Why can't he be the tagger getting under others skin?

My thoughts exactly. Hasn't been reported yet has he?

I saw Howat in the middle a few times Sunday night. This goes against the Wallace theory that you should have played 50 games to get a crack in the guts. Also, I don't think Howat has the presence that King , Tuck, or Foley has, he's a bit too outside for me to be a midfielder.

He was reported against the Doggies for wrestling with Scott West, gus. They were both fined.

It was his first senior game with us. :clap

Ms Tantie.

I think we all know by now that TW changes his 'view' depending on what he has just done or is about to do.

IIRC he was talking about playing REGULARLY in the middle.

Get bloody chris newman in the guts as a run with player...surely he would be a better option than Sugar....I thought Newmy was on the verge of becoming a strong midfielder.... :help

I agree with ToO.Jake would be a great tagger in the middle & could feed of nicely!

So we want King, an aggressive backline midget playing his first year of AFL, to play key midfield and tagging roles in the AFL ?

Leave him where he is. He's roving the backline nicely and with our lack of strong marking in the backline, excluding Polak, we need someone you can sweep around the backs looking for the loose ball.
