*smile* me. ive been watching essendon talls take contested marks all over the ground tonight while we have patto and simmo fumbling and bumbling for marks while in the clear. they are the only 2 blokes over 192cm playing tonight and neither could catch a cold. pathetic really. heres an idea, get some talls that can crash a pack and mark the footy. only then will we have the structure to win a match. playing talls is not an untried fanciful attack strategy. its a tried and true formula for winning premierships. as the game wears on and fatigue sets in the smalls lose the pace and mids dont get to as many contests but the talls stay tall

It's funny you know, a lot of folks on the boards over the past couple of weeks have said Terry has finally gotten the side he wants, that being small & nippy..

However the thing that really struck me tonight in the 2nd half was not simply how short we looked re structure but how SLOW we looked to go with it!!!

The Bombers simply made us look pedestrian in the 2nd half.

Pattison, Raines, Coughlan, Tuck, Brown, Connors, Bowden, Simmonds, Petiffer, Cotchin looked like snails out there. Sure a couple are underdone but they are still being selected so no excuses.

All these named looked well off the pace when matched against the spring heeled Bombers line up.

I didn't listen to Terry's presser tonight but I can guess he didn't reach for the youth argument against this inexperienced Bombers outfit. ::) ::)
They absolutely towelled us in speed and skill.

I was watching the game with a bunch of Bombers supporters and they made sure I noticed how inexperienced their sprightly lineup was next to our team containing the likes of Pettifer, Newman, Tuck, Bowden, Simmonds, Brown & Coughlan..

Hello!! Wasn't Terry just complaining about our lack of players in the core 24-28 age bracket. Do I hear Knighter making such excuses?????

I had nothing. What was I going to say?? but we are missing a 3 blokes over 30?????

FFS Wallet you have no idea about structure, gameplans or what it takes to be a premiership winning side.
I am sick to the eyeballs of looking at you pretending to care.

If you truly had the interests of the club at heart you would leave tommorrow.
