Totally agree. There is no plan.

What are you talking about?

What about the blueprint for success?
What about the intrinsic mechanisms?
What about the improvement graphs?
What about 16 goals a game?
What about the 'hurt' sign?
What about tempo football?
What about the crunch ball game?
What about the NAB 15?
What about the fancy power point presentations?
What about Tuesdays with Terry?
What about 2011?
What about going forwards when you look like you're going backwards?

There's lots and lots of plans and little real substance.

Just get us results Wallace and cut the *smile*.
The honeymoon is over baby.

Great thread BTW.
l believe next year we will have a N.A.B 45 so no player feels left out

:hihi Maybe we even extend it out to 50 and invite players along from other clubs who might feel left out, like Kennedy for example.

I also believe that the version of Microsoft Office used to present the graphs and Powerpoint presentations will be upgraded to the latest version. This should really put some sting into the club...

Ok here's my take. I would swap all the Richmond theories quoted for one thing - High intensity, strong tackling football.

We just don't do it, and its not a culture thing. Collingwood hired one of the Scotts to teach all their players to tackle, harass and generally irritate the hell out of the opposition without giving away a free. Look what happened, all of Collingwood's young players have done well and Collingwood got within five points of Geelong. Geelong were always better but just couldn't shake them off, As opposed to the Roos and Power when they played Geelong.

The Roos got blown away in two of their finals but they got there due to intensity and tackling pressure which is very much a successful finals formula and which they term the Shinboner spirit. I have to bet with my mates on Richmond vs the Roos every year and every year its a sucker bet because we play soft.

Richmond are consistently last or near last in the tackling area, we just don't stick them and we just can't cope with teams which put a lot of pressure on. We can't match it. You want to criticise Wallace - please criticise him for this.

Good post Brett. We haven't improved in 3 years in the tackling stakes despite an enormous player turnover.

Geelong were the top tackling side and won a premiership by a record margin.

We were the worst and picked up our 2nd wooden spoon in 4 years.

Wallace absolutely needs to be criticised for this.
He is not getting his players to work anywhere near hard enough for him.

We have had another thread recently about this. What is missing from a lot of Richmond players is the shepherd.
Look at how Geelong played.
With Richmond there was too much passing and "it's not my problem any more. I've got my stat."
The good shepherders I've seen this year are Foley, King, Newman, Johnson, Pattison. We need every other player to commit in 2008.
There's a few who'll be still on the list next year who need to be told about getting 100% value for their posessions and disposals.
