are up on scumpond. bit of dkcing around and you'll find em. Nothings ever straight forward on scumpond sites. They have a meeting about nothing and actually work out ways to make things harder. Anyway.. http://bigpondvideo.com/afl/42904

Was good to get a better look at some of the new draftees as im still abit in the dark about what each has to offer.

Most interesting was Putt (on the richmond website) and Guordis. Putt has his own topic started so i'll leave him out here.

Guordis looks very good. I know its a highlights package but he seems to have great big sticky mitts and is quick on the lead. With his size and power he could become anything even a CHB/CHF type. The thinking we've heard from the club is that he'll be a backman so i guess they don't hold out much hope for his kicking at goal.

Cartledge doesnt seem too bad either. At least he's a good young ruckman who's ready to go if called upon. He's got a good leap on him too. Took a courageous mark on the wing so obviously has abit of ticker too. Sometimes a wake up call is a good thing. He's still young for a ruckman so who knows how he'll furnish in a few years.

The Cat, well we all know about him.

Collard looks a player too but its all good and well to see these highlight reels but lets see how they actually go season proper. at least you get a glimpse into what quality clay we have to mould.

Thanks for that. Pleasantly surprised watching Cartledge. Not sure how old he would have been in that video but he must have been young. Although he was only competing against Street and Minson in the video he does look to have some ability. Does anyone know what the main knock was on him when Essendon delisted him?

Essendon have strong ruck stocks which may have played a role in lowering his value to their team.

Essendon have terrible ruck stocks, Hille and Laycock who are terrible and then who? They have very ordinary rucks

They must have a fair few young rucks, that is an explaination I got from a bomber supporter anyway (although they don't generally understand many things).

Laugh :rofl wonder how many takes it took to get that out (and how many more it would take to get rid of the monotonous tone in their voices :hihi)

He probably wasn't old enough or slow enough. Bombers for the spoon :) Sorry Knighter

They took quite a few young rucks with 1st round picks in the same draft as Carteledge. They were given more opportunity ahead of him due to that and he never got much opportunity. Had a few injury problems as well, but appears to be over those now after a solid consistent VFL season.
