Players not up to scratch

Every other coach will have jotted down a note after watching that game

Beat Richmond = run hard and apply pressure

As if they need to write it down. It's common knowledge and has been for years.

oakley nicholls played good foty in the last qtr - he will get some confidence from that.

Silvester played one of the worse games i have seen. St Kilda isolated him and his man all night. Each time he got it he set up a goal for Stk. He got -19 supercoach points for the night.

Yep, Silvester had a shocker. Unfortunate for the rookie, but clearly amongst our worst on ground last night. Whenever it was a 1 on 1 it seemed it was a certain goal for the saints.

Conversely, I thought Moore was amongst, if not, the best Tiger, which was good to see and Morton looked a likely type - he is bigger than I remember.

I am very much used to the NAB anti-climax, yet it never stops me counting the days down to the match....oh well...bring on the Blue-baggers in Round 1 -- that is when it really matters.

P.S. It's still pleasing to see ol' muppet arms can't kick a set shot goal.

I refuse to lose hope yet. I've been hanging out for footy too long. To give away the entire season after one crap practice match is just too depressing to think about.

Had the magpies played a decent ruckman against Geelong in the last year's prelim, they could well be premiers right now [god help us]. And they looked pretty horrible last week - too slow and poorly skilled. You just can't tell from the NAB cup.

Stephen King is one of the best tap ruckman around and Simmonds is always a slow starter. We have no one to match up on Kozzie and I reckon Moore did a great job. Newy was great and will be captain next year (please?).

It IS still very early... and st kilda did make two prelim finals recently so we know the quality of their list. Sure their midfield stars were out but maybe TW is keeping our gun new midfield a secret to be unveiled in round one, kind of like what AB did with warnie in the 89 ashes... but i digress...maybe Tiva, Johno and Tuck are nothing but a smokescreen to hide our topline midfield of cogs, lids, tambo, connors, edwards, axel and marco polo.

Had a few results gone our way early in 2007 and the bundle not been dropped our season may have been significantly different. Let's not drop OUR bundle in February, supporters. I don't want to be the laughing stock of opposition fans because I've given up on the team i love before the race has even begun. Carn PR Enders. Lift !

It must have brought a smile to Richo's face!

King Thursfield Moore
Bowden Polak/Shulz McMahon
Polo Caughlan Newman
Morton Riewolt Pettifer
Brown Richo Shulz/Polak
Simmonds Deledio Foley
Int- Tuck, Patto, Edwards, Tambling

Em McGuanne, Connors, Casserly, Graham, Jackson

I'll still pay money to see these guys play each week if they line up like this
