Players under the most pressure to perform in 2008

We in our house hold think that JON , Sarge , Hyde and White have to show that they are capable of playing consistent AFL standard footy or make room for the next highly regarded hopefulls

Jay Schulz - Last chance for Big Jay, has what it takes, all up to him.

Kelvin Moore - Definetely needs to perform or will be dropped.

Danny Meyer - See Schulz

ahh its new yr the panadol are taking efect so it time to stop being the nice guy roll the sleeves up and get stuck in. now whos under pressure.thats easy the whole bloody lot of them. far far to many have chronic deficiencies and it seems a lot of those who dont have deficiencies lack the right attitude desire.

one of the first lot to go have to be the squibs and soft ones.or atleast cut the number down. i just have no time for players who pull out of contests and dont work for their team mates.

j bowden. k pettifer. g tivendale. j mcmahon. c howat. m morton. theres a few others i could put into this category but wont just yet. i reckon 2 or 3 of these softies need to go straight away howat and tivva are the two obvious ones but one other should go. personally theres two ways to go to find the third option. dump bowden age, or trade pettifer yes we would get something for him i think.one other who fits the category is hughes. morton and hughes are safe for the moment and have time to turn things around.mcmahon has to be under the pump totally hates contact and was the turnover king of the afl last yr still shaking my head we gave up pick 19 for this bloke. hes had 1 1/2 decent yrs in 7 he should fit in quite well with the many underachievers we have.

then you have those who have been around for awhile. moore hyde schulz meyer jackson. apart from jackson who may have bought himself another yr the others have given nothing i think you could get rid of all 5 and hardly miss them based on performance. you can add johnson to this list age and wear and tear are catching up to him richo bowden and simmonds they all turn 30+ this yr surely if it came to a choice between them and a younger type the younger man would get the nod..

aagghh bugger it i could find a reason for nearly all to be under pressure to perform.thers plenty of glass half full types. in fact finishes of 14, 13, 16. 12, 9what a yr to over perform one of the best drafts ever. and finally 16. these mindbogglingly inept shocking 6 seasons should have everyone from the bootstudder to wallace under pressure to perform for me the real onus should be on those who have been around for awhile because they have consistently shown just how poor they can be. they have shown consistently that they cant lead not on the footy field anyway.

that's a mighty fine panadol, Clawsy!
:clap

2008 is gunna be a huge year for Claw. He's real dirty after being pipped at the post by Irockz for 2007 Darksider of the Year........ and has responded like all champions do. Dig deep, no short cuts, straight back into work and ready to come out all guns blazing. I rate him up there with big Richo......... both living legends, slightly flawed perhaps, but totally dedicated to their chosen cause. Most of all Tigers through and through!

P.S. It isn't the half-empty glass which is the secret, but the stubby he tops it up from.

There is no doubt that every player on the list is under pressure to perform. No one should feel secure about there position and with the increasing depth of the list the pressure is increasing on quite a few players who are going to have to work pretty hard to keep their spot in the best 22 each week.

Those I think really need to show something to maintain a spot on the list though are;

1. Jay Schulz. Stop teasing us and put it all together son if you want a spot.
2. Kel Moore. Showed glimpses at the end of last season which probably was why he kept his spot. Obviously done some work over summer, but now is the time for him to put his hand up.
3. Danny Meyer. Certainly talented, but needs to show he has the desire to play for the yellow and black at the elite level. Has the skills, but not sure about the heart.
